We got the quote for the Citrus plush. We’re very likely going to open pre-orders next Saturday, right after the upcoming release, and they’ll run for one month.

We’re planning to make 250 pre-order spots available each week over the course of four weeks, since that’s the amount Chainsaw can reasonably handle. That's a total of 1,000 stuffed toys, for now! Honestly since we are switching to pre-orders instead of paying directly out of pocket for large manufacturing jobs this could make restocking wagyu and citrus plushies a lot faster and easier for us. We were having to save up more than ten thousand dollars every time we did this lol

well- not really out of the blue to make this kind of post cos it is pride month after all-

anyway- been thinkin abt myself- like- gender identity wise.

during my time on tumblr, i went through a period of time where i identified as a demi-girl (she/they), then I went through another period of time where I identified as nonbinary (they/them).

If u noticed my pronouns changing back in like- primarily September of 2025, u were not seeing things, I was editing my pronouns in my pinned post and description.

behind the scenes, that period of time was spent trying to figure stuff out about myself. don’t worry, it was not a time of intense, depressive-causing, gender dysphoria like some trans ppl commonly go through, just a time of questioning and having a feeling of “something isn’t right… i have a feeling that I could be someone else and be living even happier” (which makes sense since u don’t need to have the dysphoria to be trans)

as u can imagine, finding out my gender identity was gonna be a little bit difficult as I didn’t (and still don’t) have an intense on-the-nose sign like others have. so instead of finding where I feel dysphoria, I needed to find out where I feel euphoria.

soemthing that i always knew about myself is that i don’t hate my body. I’m completely comfortable in it- I don’t mind my feminine anatomy (or pronouns) at all.

and even more recently, like in the past few days, I’ve been realizing: “huh.. I feel uncomfortable being referred to or thinking of myself as a girl”

and with that, i think i may have found my answer.

Everyone knows the first day of Friend Grace’s class is nickname day. It’s the day when every pebble is on their best behavior to try and make sure they get a cool nickname, something unique that they can brag to their friends and classmates about.

Sometimes, Grace will do it without thinking. That’s how Kiddo and Buddy got their nicknames. Often, Grace will nickname students after their coloration. Gaia got his nickname because he’s blue and green, and apparently looks a lot like Earth. Violet got hers because she’s purple. (She was initially disappointed since color means nothing to Eridians, but then Friend Grace showed them violet flowers and said that humans often associated purple with wealth and royalty, and she changed her tune.) Most of the time, Grace will give his students what he calls “regular human names” like Abby, Carl, or Martin.

But the most coveted nicknames are ones named after Earthen creatures. When ♩♪♬ 🎵 ♩♪♬ 🎵 first introduced themselves, Friend Grace immediately perked up and shouted “Robin!” After a bit of explaining himself and a few videos of bird calls, Robin was trilling and chirping happily, excited at having a nickname that felt like a 1-to-1 translation of their own.

Even well after Friend Grace is gone, his legacy remains. A hundred years into the future, when humankind finally launches a new ship with the express purpose of properly meeting their Eridian neighbors, one of the first messages exchanged is “Hello! My name Robin.”
