I’ve also written 31,805 words of original writing and fic for other fandoms.

So, in total, in 2021 I’ve written...

714,718 words of JATP fanfic            and  746,525 words altogether!!

Thank you so much for a great year, everybody! This has definitely been the best writing year of my life, and I’m so happy to share it with all of you!

There’s a wild, manic look in his eyes, like a rabbit cornered by a vicious gang of house cats. “And this whole time, they’ve just been hanging out in Loz Feliz, playing in a hologram band, like absolutely nothing’s wrong?”

"Well, there is another thing," says Julie. "They're kind of... coming back to life, maybe?"

…over a year of silence only for them to come back 15 months later and say it was cancelled

Netflix: “yes yes renew this inclusive show.”

Also Netflix: “No, cancel the inclusive show that we could have on our platform that shows inclusivity so then we could say ‘hey look at our representation!’ But not cancel that one.”

I’m at the point now where I just treat every Netflix show like a limited series, and don’t expect a second season.

Making characters swear in fanfiction is such an interesting phenomenon when the ratings for the source material prevent any swearing from happening in canon. Like you’ve probably got a decent overall sense of the characters’ general speech patterns from how they canonically talk, but you still have to judge for yourself whether they’d swear and how often and what specific words they’d use. I can’t quite articulate why that’s interesting but it is.

Shocked to see #Netflix struggling.  It’s almost as if canceling your most popular shows and greenlighting a bunch of identical cooking competitions in their place then raising prices is a bad idea.

And they have blamed it on literally everything they possibly could except anything they’ve done.

Because it couldn’t possibly be them.

And it couldn’t possibly be because they reached an unsustainable bubble where there literally are no more “new subscribers” to get. And it couldn’t possibly be because that they don’t care about retaining subscribers, only in getting new sign ups.
