That is so real…!!!!! It’s such a cozy soundtrack too…

So when Ley introduced me to Ikenfell, 3 days after we finished the game, we created

A SIDE STORY THAT INVOLVED OUR OCS

and then shortly after

A WHOLE SEQUEL GAME IN MY HEAD

Which then evolved into

ENTIRE STORYLINE HALF CANON HALF AU WITH LIKE 8-12 MAYBE EVEN MORE OTHER OCS

And a hyperfixation for almost 3 years running

It made me realize “Man, I sure love this game!”

I then met some of my current friends when they were in VC, I talked about Ikenfell for a bit and no joke 5 MINUTES INTO THAT VC THEY CLOCKED ME AS HYPERACTIVE ADHD AND NEVER TOLD ME UNTIL A COUPLE HOURS LATER-

And then I have 2 friends that I infected with my spores, one from that friend group, and the other I chatted with in the past

And to this day I still write ideas for them, I think the story doc we have has probably more than 70 pages of OC stories-

Oh my god, I had no idea there were people out there who loved Ikenfell so much. I made some art for it when I played it for the first time because I got super hyperfixated but none of my friends knew the game so I had no one to yap to💔

Augh I'd kill for a sequel game tbh, that sounds like so much fun! And you're still writing stories!!! (👀👀👀 i am very much interested in any ikenfell fan content there is)

these get reposted a whole lot from here to reddit to twitter to tiktok and on and on, and i don't personally care whether or not i'm credited. i made these for everyone to use, enjoy, and find meaning in them. i appreciate folks who do credit me, but if able, please at least link to the threadless shop in the previous post - folks can get an official shirt where 90% of earnings go to trans led orgs focused on mental health (which is an important matter in general, but very personal to me) and not from a scam bot site selling AI-churned maga garbage where you probably won't get one anyway. i also suggest downloading the files from my ko-fi - they are free/PWYW and you can use them to make your own shirt, patch, embroidery project, whatever. tips are always nice, cuz i do like a pizza now and then, but never required for download.

final thought - breaking the pride tradition and more than likely won't make a new piece. the top one from TDOV is all i'm making this year. i have my focus on other projects currently and i don't want to force a poster design. these came from a specific head space and my current head space is Very Tired lmao so i wanna work on other things. 👍

I *must know* your favorite ikenfell characters

My absolute favourite is Pertisia

I really love and am invested in her story. I like characters that go from mean to absolute sweethearts PLUS SHE HAS A COOL SCAR. The fact that she uses magic to hide it😭 i thought the reveal where Ima took away the magic was so well done

Also she's my favourite to use in fighting bc I'd be fucked without her shields😭 and i also think her crush on maritte is a cute addition to her character

Other favs are ima and rook, i adooore nonbinary characters. (Also i really like the crow god)

eeeee I love all of them too!

But my favorite is Petronalla and Glinda! With my favorite side characters being Bax and Ibn!

Petron and Glimda are characters I heavily relate to.

I love Petron's play style, that I used them in my final bosses on 2 seprate playthroughs. Their moment of bravery in the ending really makes me happy; and well, bonus kinning points since I am also aroace (i'm not fully sure if they have both identies or is just asexual/aromantic)

But they were my first character i saw in fiction with my own identity!

Glinda definally was there for all my playthroughs, period. Her taunt animation is gosh darn amazing hahah.

Her silliness in the last 2 or 3 chapters after she gets over her slump of negativity really makes me smile. And I like how she actually *doesn't* end up with Maritte, i could go into my whole headcanon about her being frayromantic; first to Saf and then Maritte

But even without that, it make for a special arc for her to me

And Bax & Ibn.

Ohhh Bax and Ibn.

I adore them and they were my first fanart for the game. I really think they should of had one more fight to hint to Ibn's true power.

But I still love them both with all my heart

and the final fight and cutscene was pure gold

NEL is such a cutie, i adore them. I don't use labels anymore but when I first played Ikenfell I was aroace and thought it was so cool to see Petronella

Oh and i love gilda too, she's so fun to play as, but i'm also glad sje didn't end up with maritte, partly bc it seemed kind of one-sided to me? Like i didnt really see any indication for maritte liking gilda
