So please don’t get angry at yourself when you break apart, stumble, or make a mistake.

Please don’t tear yourself apart for taking a rest and starting something over again.

Amanda Gorman, a 22 year old poet from Los Angeles, becomes the youngest inaugural poet in memory as President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris take office. There have only been a handful of inaugural poets; Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and John F.
