Testing mobile web apps is challenging because there's no way to view javascript errors and other console messages. Fortunately, Remy built a free web service for viewing console messages remotely!

A major limitation is that a console ID needs to be hardcoded into the script tag. That means everyone that accesses the URL (other developers, testers) will show up in a single console. So I created a little script to pass a session ID through the URL. That way all our developers can create their own sessions for testing without interfering with each other.

Skull bookshleves formed with everyday items: As many artists know, ‘vanitas’ can be defined as a type of symbolic art, often including symbols like skulls, rotten fruit, hourglasses, and other items related to the brevity of life and the certainty of death. London-based artist James Hopkins’ series Vanitas is quite a clever, modern take on this still life genre.

nice sculpture at MIT... metal outdoor pieces like this are usually waaay too conservative to evoke any emotion in me, but the context makes this one really work. It's hard to tell from the photo but it's in a uniform, flat open space. The contrast between the tall building, the open space and the sculpture is really wonderful.

WHAT an app lets you do is less important than HOW the app lets you do it. Simple interfaces with elegant design are the new differentiator for successful products.
