Well...I totally didn’t just come back from obscurity

quick proportion tips
- eyeballs are an eyeball width apart - ears align with the top of your brows to the bottom of your nose, and are the center-point of a profile view - lip corners line up to the center of each eye - hands are roughly the size of your face - feet are the same size as your forearm - elbows are aligned with your belly-button - your hands reach down mid-length of your thighs - both upper and lower legs (individually) are roughly the same size as your torso (this is all rough estimates for proportion! feel free to add more to help others)
YOU ARE A FUCKING SAINT
- the length of your legs + feet is about the same as the length of your torso + everything above it
- collar bones extend directly from the shoulders
-wrists align with crotch

OH MY GOSH
sometimes recovery doesn’t mean more treatment more therapy more medication sometimes you don’t need to learn more coping skills or make meal plans or identify emotions. sometimes you need more time in the sunshine more hugs that mean something more drunken conversations on a sunday night because sometimes you can understand recovery in your head but not feel recovery in your heart. sometimes your heart needs a little extra time to catch up.

Tutorial: how to make organized notes.
Read the objectives of the lecture. If there aren’t any, flip through the lecture slides and make an outline. This puts into perspective what you need to be learning and what you should get out of this lecture.
Skim the book to get familiar with how the information is divided compared to your outline or objectives. While doing this, you’ll figure out whether or not you need the extra details from the book. Sometimes the lecture is enough and you could keep the textbook just as a reference to things you don’t get.
Write down the first objective and flip to the page in the book that has the information pertaining to that objective. Read the lecture slide then refer to the book for details.
Combine your lecture notes with the textbook information. Do this by rewriting the information in your own words and try to be as concise as possible.
Keep doing this for every objective. Paste things if it helps.
Make sure that you’re not just copying information. Use visual aids as much as possible. Put the information in a table, flowchart, diagram, etc.. (refer to this post to see how I make my flowcharts).
When you’re done with all your objectives, go through the lecture and your notes to make sure you didn’t miss anything.
General tips on how to keep them organized:
Be systemic. Making objective-oriented notes is one way to do that.
Use two (or more colors). Color-coding information helps me remember it + it doesn’t look that bad.
Section your objectives according to the topic. Then make sure that when you’re writing out the information, it’s in a sequence that’s understandable.
Disclaimer: this is the way I’ve been making my notes since I started med school. By no means am I claiming it’s perfect or that everybody should follow it.
Hope this helps and as always, happy studying :)

THE NINE CHOIRS OF HEAVEN. An info-graphic for my editorial class and god am I thankful it’s done. Way too much went into this than what I had time for, but hey… I actually kind of like it?
Now excuse me, I must return to my fashion major lifestyle and go sew a coat u_u

glistening stars & silence
Sometimes I head up into the local mountains to take photos. It’s nice to get away and get lost looking at the stars. The mountains and darkness eminate a foreign adventure. It’s so dark that it takes a few minutes for your eyes to adjust, but once they do it’s almost as if you’ve become part of some unwritten fairytale.
All these shots are between thirty and fifty second exposures. The time varies depending on the moonlight and starlight. I try to make the exposures connect together as if they’re forming a single mountain.
multiple exposures shot on medium format film.
For your convenience, and mine, I have compiled together the most important images from the majority of Big Hero 6 books.

PSA
To anybody planning on seeing The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies in theaters who experiences seizures, there’s a scene a bit in with a lot of bright, flashing lights that may trigger them. You’ll know to look away when Lady Galadriel stands up all green/grey like, and you can look back when Lord Elrond speaks again.
