I hear the discourse coming from either “sides” of the transgender oppression conversations but trans people are not a monolith. Trying to meet everyone’s perspective is fair, sure, but not when it misses the fact that so many of those experiences can be true/valid at once. Please, pay mind to the fact that intersectionality or even international feminism really does run a bit deeper than “this trans person hasn’t medically transitioned, so therefore they are still benefiting from fitting into society.” I fear that it doesn’t account for every other detail in that or more people’s personal struggles. I don’t think that level of data is able to be accurately measured right now, but… The way that I see people sometimes failing to include others in their critique or perspective on the problem… I’m not sure how productive it’s going.
