Short Story Extract - The Woodworkers Wife

Weak smoke rose from the Doll’s cheek, his harsh hands and distracted mind bore a while into her skin as he obsessively sanded down the same spot.

Why am I cursed to be alone forever?

As if to punctuate this final thought his thumb fell through the cheek of the small doll, cracks began to cover the body like veins. With a deep sigh, The Woodworker looked down upon his creation, stroking her hair, with a soft look anyone would mistake for love. Silently he stood, marching towards the fireplace, and threw her in without a second thought. Returning to his seat he took out an identical doll and began to work towards perfection once again.

In the past i found my self thriving because of you, and then in spite of you, and now finally I can thrive with it having nothing to do with you.

I feel like there are two nearly identical sides to me, like you and your reflection.

One is manic, with her head and heart always travelling too fast. Constantly diving deeper into a bottomless pit.

The other is logical, she knows its an overreaction, she knows everything is fine and I’m being silly, but most importantly she’s trapped behind the glass. Destined to always just be an observer.

My Disappearance

I’ve gone through a lot in the past few months, which is why I haven’t written anything in a while.

I promise I’ll be writing again, but I want to write from the heart, not just for the sake of it. I want everything I write to have meaning to it, and hopefully you will all find small pieces of yourself in my words.

On the bright side, it shouldn’t take to long, I write as a way to vent and/or to figure out my emotions, and I’ve been very confused about how I feel recently. Hopefully you all still care about my writing, and I will post soon! ❤️

Can I Call it Love?

If I think about you as soon as I wake, after a night of you in my dreams, can I call it love?

If you're the first person I turn to in crisis or success, can I call it love?

If your unwavering excitment about things like bar menus and bad movies has made me interested in things I normally wouldn't think twice about, can I call it love?

If this is what you do to me, and who you are, I think I think I can call it love.

So last month was my birthday and my parents didn't gave me a present. So i thought yesterday when we went shopping on department store they will buy me a present. My expectation they will buy me a book or new pants more than one. I just want something that really mean to me. Instead they yelling and mad at me. It's break my heart, it was supposed to be the special day but end with tragic. I'm upset i really hate them. Why can they just happy to see i'm happy?

I know it's hard but you can't rely on other people to make you happy. People are inconsistent, find a definite in the world or in yourself and use it to find happiness.
