Abolish the senate
There, I said it.

Did I miss anything, or...?
i don’t know if i’m a daredevil, exactly, but i do enjoy a good challenge. it’s the only way you grow.

i'm like 99% sure it is set in the Mirror verse tbh. that's the only way anything makes sense, from the dark tone, to all the inconsistencies with TOS. so hang in there!
If it turns out to be another divergent timeline like the Abrams movies imma cut someone.
I want to like Discovery so much but so much about it just feels wrong.
I like Michael as a character and Sonequa Martin-Green is amazing. I like all the other actors too.
Saru is a cool alien, although he's really just a human in weird makeup.
I hate the tone. It's so dark. I don't like Starfleet being portrayed as militaristic soldiers. DS9 did that already and it worked because it was new. Similarly the whole 'Federation at war' thing is old hat, so is the 'anything to win' idea. Again, DS9 did all this.
I hate that it's a prequel. It makes no fucking sense. I can forgive the updated look of the technology but hologram communicators? Why? At least pretend that canon is a thing.
I hate that Sarek is in it, and there's no reason. Michael's backstory could involve any Vulcan, but they made it Sarek, why? Now Spock suddenly has this foster sister. Why? Why do that?
The Klingons just look weird and I'm mostly upset the actors had to wear those teeth. They're OK I guess but yeah.
I don't like that it's serialised. I'm over that idea as a thing.
I want to like it so much but it just doesn't FEEL like Trek. Trek is supposed to be an optimistic show about the best of humanity exploring the wonders of the galaxy. A dark show about desperate flawed people trying to survive in a harsh universe just isn't what Trek should be.
I really want to like it and I'm not giving up yet, but come on guys what's wrong? Have you never even watched the show, or...?
My Dad hates the character of Wesley, so I’ve started replacing our family photos with Wil Wheaton.
This is fantastic.
everyone please look at this form harold filled out in kindergarten
Fight the system. Harold.
i, for one, wish to read some dogman comics
Stay strong, Harold.
Four successful Republican scams that have changed American politics in the last 40 years:
1. That income tax cuts are good for poor, working and middle class people. (Compared to property tax and sales tax cuts, income tax cuts affect poor, working and middle class very little.)
2. That “they” – racial and ethnic minorities – benefit from social programs like welfare, housing subsidies, public transportation, and higher education, but “we” – white people – don’t. (Since there are LOTS more white people in America, even now, than “not white” people, simple math suggests most beneficiaries of social programs are white. And they are.)
3. That the “free market” can lead to the least expensive, highest quality solution to social and political problems. (Many social and political problems, after all, involve situations where no one has any money, so the “free market” has no reason to touch them.)
4. That the “free market” means that government must not intervene in the market, and must allow whatever the market determines to actually take place.(The “free market” requires government to pass laws, create courts, and run a stable banking system to make the market work smoothly.)
These four ideas have convinced millions of Americans to smile and wave as rich people rob them blind.
SIGNAL BOOST THE HELL OUT OF THIS.
