i just got an email that someone at my high school got tuberculosis and I forgot that people still got that
I had DND club today and our main dm couldn't make it, so his son did a spinoff murder mystery one shot at this fancy lord's dinner party. The Lord was an orange tabaxi that talked and acted like Trump. We could but stop laughing and joking so we ended up just playing among us until the time was out
“why did they go so hard on an animated movie”
“why am i crying watching a kids movie”
“i thought this movie was gonna suck because its animated but it's ACTUALLY GOOD??”
as a fan of animated media, i've seen this happening since FOREVER. every time a good animated movie comes out, people are somehow shocked and appalled that animation is not just for kids and is in fact, a flexible and creative medium to tell any kind of story.
it happened with Megamind. it happened with Encanto. it happened with Puss In Boots: The Last Wish. and now it's happening with K-pop Demon Hunters.
i don't want to shame anyone who is getting into animated movies and shows but seriously, guys. it's 2025, we should know better than this.
what about animation screams “only for kids”? because when you really think about it, it makes no sense why this medium should only be restricted to children's media. it's just one of those rules that spawned out of nowhere. just saying, you can appreciate and praise an animated movie without going “IT'S FOR KIDS BUT I STILL ENJOYED IT”.
also, a family movie isn't the same as a kids movie. kids movies are movies like Smurfs, The Secret Life of Pets, Trolls, etc. they're either just mindless fun or have a very base-level message that kids under the age of 12 can understand. (adults can enjoy these too btw i'm not judging)
family movies are those that have deeper themes and messages but are still PG enough for kids to watch. these are the movies that we're talking about right now. they're not kids movies, they can be watched and enjoyed by people of all ages.
My theory is kids shows/movies are often animated since they are about kids and child actors are more expensive then adult actors for various reasons. Then there's also the aspect of some kids show/movie concepts just work better as animation. So society just decided to associate animation with kids stuff.
I've been at camp for the past two weeks with zero online access so I guess it's time to go in a hole for the next two-four days while I catch up on Wild West vods... Wish me luck

I have not scrolled though tumblr at all and I've only seen Vast and Rune's pov of the recent lore (Rune first, then Vast), and here are my thoughts
sobbing, I don't usually actually cry because lore but there are tears running down my face

I saw someone on here say that Rune seems doomed by the narrative and I will find the post later and shake them
Slyph called Rune they're brother for the first time :((((( (that I know of)
Did Sylph get to tell Rune about their new relationship?
Rune gets to see his family again....
After leaving I think Ava went to Funland and my personal head cannon is that she is now sitting in the tent full of stuffies and holding dandilions or something of Rune's/something he gave her
Here is the important one, I know Rune is like dead dead, but I think it was Beck who compared Rune to Jesus Christ and then someone (I can't remember who but I'll try to find the moment and screen record it later) said something like "Because he died for our sins and then-" before cutting themselves off. I'm sure most people already know this but Jesus' whole thing (other then being the human embodiment of God and the perfect man) is that he died for our sins and was raised from the dead on the third day after his death (Easter). I am of the strong belief that Rune will come back. This could be the denial, this could be a good theory, this could be my delusion speaking, but he's gotta come back. I know Art said this was Rune's finale, but he could still reappear without streaming.
just as a heads up so none of you get your hopes up: i just said "because he died for our sins". i think someone else said "and then" lol

Update: I am now mostly caught up but fighting with God to get my SIM card to work. It won't let me send or receive texts and I haven't tried but I'm guessing calling is also off limits. Something about it not being connected to my service provider. Anyways, hopefully my new card won't wipe everything like this one did when it transferred phones

If I had a nickel for every time one of heyhay's characters gained a tail because of ✧ magic family drama ✧ I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice.
Instead of thinking about the inauguration today I made bracelets with one of my besties and Ms. T (an older lady from my church who has a lot of beads and makes a lot of bracelets)
