Colie had never done this. She had cried to herself, she had cried after her nightmares, but she had never completely broken down in front of someone. But, if it was in front of anyone, she was glad it was her father. “I needed you!” She cried into his chest, the tears still flowing quickly and freely. “I needed my father….” I need my father. She said to herself. In the back of her mind, Colie wanted to hit him and push him away. But her heart and body wanted to stay as close to him as she could.

The Bartons were never ones to show their emotions and well she was a Barton no matter what. Showing weakness wasn’t something that came easily. She needed him and she had left him. That was probably the worst feeling. He had already abandoned both of his daughters, there was probably nothing worse than that. “I’m here now,” he said as he gently petted her head.
