Tea and Stuff | Kaius and Eira
Kaius laughed, covering up some awkwardness they had between them, âThatâs because I managed to pack in some book from home on my way out isnât it?â He took his first sip from the cup of tea inhaled the aroma and sighed. Herbs and Tea always had an effect on him. He tried to imagine how Anders was like, hearing that he was a spirit healer too. âUsed to? Not anymore I guess?â With the recent events, anyoneâs opinion on him could easily shift, whether good or bad.
He stayed quiet for awhile, thinking of a way to reply. Strangely enough he used to do this often, just sit and listen and hopefully give some comfort. The comfort part always was hard, still is. He glanced to her grip on her cup and murmured, âWell if heâs putting in all that effort to make you out of his life, perhaps itâs best to⌠forget about him, put him out of yours.. I mean, if.. if it still bothers you.â
She shook her head gently, âNo. I like you for more than your books... I mean- I, um. Youâre really nice and h-â she stopped herself from rambling on nervously. She took a breath and continued on, âNo, I still do. It just he seems less like a person now. You know.â She shrugged as she took a sip of her tea.
âPerhaps it is best that I forget about him.â She sighed, âbut he is my only family...â She realized how stupid that sounded, it was stupid to her. He was a horrible father who sent her away but he was still her blood. âI know it sounds stupid but up until this point I was alone and he was a sort of hope...But now I have you... I mean youâre my friend, right?â
