long stand
Charities/organisations to avoid:
PETA: Theyād rather spend their money on publicity campaigns than on the animals in their care. PETA killed 73.8% of the animals in their care in 2015 (x)
FCKH8: Is a for-profit company that exploits oppressed groups for money. Theyāre also wildly uninformed, and spread misogyny, cissexism and bi/panphobia, as well as stealing their posts/designs (x)
Autism Speaks: They spend most of their money on researching a way to eliminate autism, heighten the stigma against autism and donāt have a single autistic person on their board (x)
Please support other, better charities, and feel free to add any others you can think of to this.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure:Ā CEO makes insane amounts of money, they deny a lot of requests for wigs/help with treatment/etc., and have attempted to sue other charities that use the color pink as part of their anti-breast cancer campaign. ( x x xĀ )
The Salvation Army: They promote the hatred of LGBT+ people, work with fundamentalist Christian groups to support conservative politics and rip off and exploit workers. ( x x xĀ )
Wounded Warrior:Ā They take money that should be spent on veterans and blow it on huge opulent parties for the company bigwigs. 26 million in 2014 alone wasted! ( x x x )
^ Important reminder to NOT waste any money donating to these groups
Reblogging because of the added info about Wounded Warrior.
A good way to know if a nonprofit youāre donating to is allocating their money in the right way is to check out their Charity Navigator rating: http://www.charitynavigator.org
Signal boosting, the bell ringers are out in force, and this info is too important.
Charity season is coming up in not even two months, so I feel like this is important to share now before itās too late.Ā
Everyone reblog this as much as possible over the next two weeks for good luck

Flagged upon posting, you cruel bastard.
the most life-changing customer iāve ever had at work was a guy who came up to me and my coworker when we were at cash and saidĀ āhey kidsā¦. wanna see something?ā
and I said sure because why the fuck not, iām here for a good time not a long time, and this motherfucker pulled a railroad spike out of his pocket.
A GODDAMN
ANTIQUE
RAILROAD
SPIKE
It was a fucking foot long chunk of steel that weighed about five pounds on its own so i was likeĀ āhuhā¦.. neatā
and he saidĀ āwait. thereās moreā and he took out a screwdriver. inlaid into the head of the spike.Ā āthings arenāt always as they appearā he said as he unscrewed the bit and pulled out of this goddamn railroad spike
a statue
a tiny, tiny golden statue stood on the base of this flathead screw. it was a tiny golden man standing next to a tiny golden flower with gemstones in the petals. the whole thing was smaller than my thumbnail is tall. it was detailed enough that the tiny man had facial features. it was amazing.
āoh my god,ā i said.Ā āhow long did it take you to make that?ā
āhereās a word of advice,ā he said,Ā ānever answer that question when people ask it. it devalues your work. youāll get faster and better at things, and be able to make more art in less time. they donāt need to know about the process, just the productā.
and he left and thatās the one artistic piece of advice i definitely wanna hold to.
donāt tell people how long it takes to make shit.
maybe catholics were right. stop being horny.

Some of yāall need to hear this
I distinctly remember hearing this type of creepy shit in various places around that age and being horrified and disheartened. āThis is my prime??? This is as good as it gets?ā
Itās not true. I wouldnāt go back to being a teenager for love or money.
KG
honestly, i was so frightened when i was at highschool because everyone said this was the GOLDEN DAYS. itās not. even university is not. it gets better. you get better.
this is like the horniest non ecchi / yaoi anime iāve ever seen i cant believe they can keep getting away with thisĀ
this is beyond horny on mainĀ
yāall hear about this Payless shoestore prank ???
fucking wild levels of hilarious
why are rich people like this lmao
āPalessiā sold about $3,000 worth of shoes within a few hours and, after the shoppers paid, staffers told them that the shoes were actually from Payless, according to AdWeek, which reported on the event Wednesday. āThey are elegant (and) sophisticated,ā one shopper described her purchase as, in a Payless video posted on YouTube.
Then, the woman, who Payless says is a real person not an actor, was told the shoes actually were the handiwork of Payless. āYouāve got to be kidding me,ā she said.
Another shopper, this one a man, said about his purchase, āI could tell itās made with high quality material.ā
Payless refunded the shoppers their purchase prices and plans to use the video testimonials, already available on YouTube, as commercials on social media and TV.

the fact that they refunded the shoppers is what makes this genuinely funny and not assholish
