Children of Thanatos headcanons
Here are some of my thoughts on the Thanatos cabin at camp half blood.
-They can talk to butterflies and send messages to eachother with them
-They smell like cloves and bergamot
-Super avengers of humane deaths of animals and humans.
-They grow up to be hospice nurses and terminal illness doctors. They also delve into insect studies and anthropology with a personal gravitation toward death rites and rituals. Also Morticians and funeral home owners.
-They take last wishes very seriously and believe that all peoples Wills should be carried out to the letter.
-Their favorite flowers are oriental Lilly’s and poppy’s.
-They eat poppyseed everything!!!
-They have zero reaction to opiates or opiate derived drugs.
-Powers include, shadow travel, reaping souls, ability to temporarily switch souls in bodies, ability to tell how something died just by looking at it (even just a picture), some grow actual wings, grief magic (they can leech someone’s grief out of their body).
-If you are grieving and trying to be strong, hugging a child of Thanatos makes every emotion bubble to the surface and you fall apart in their arms, and of course they hold you until it’s all out.
-They really focus on the good things of people lives no matter how small, or short.
-They themselves always die peacefully, never violently.
-They can tell when someone’s about to die 24 hours before they do, they promised eachother to never interfere and if it’s one of their siblings they never let them know. If they are the one that’s going to die they can’t tell but everyone else can.
-Best friends with the Hypnos cabin
-Always born as twins!
-Can see in the dark
-They age slowly and have a timless beauty about them
-They have a calming presence and can calm someone having a panic attack with a single touch.
