"Ja, hello Heavy, und vhat brings you here?" Erna asked, looking tired and worn, hair a mess and hanging haphazardly in a bun as she poured over some paperwork as per usual.

"Am just seeing how Doktor is doing.", he says, noticing how she looked a bit tired.

"How are you?"

"I am fine, danke. Just trying to get papervork done." Erna said and sat back in her chair, running a hand through her hair before trying to focus on the page in her hand, then back to the Heavy. "Is zhere somezhink I can help vith?"

"COOoooooooo," Mendeleev answered to Snowflake. His brothers weren’t going to attack, and by God, even if they did, they’d be more than trouble.

Archimedes watched the scene with morbid curiosity. He leaned forward and craned his neck as far as it would go. In doing so, he nearly slid right off Medic’s shoulder. 

"CoooOO!" Archimedes yelped. He wildly flapped his wings. All of the sudden commotion startled Medic. 

"Mein Gott, Archimedes," he breathed. "You startled me."

Erna jumped, head snapping to the movement and tensed, however Wächter lunged to snatch the dove, Snowflake, from the others with a squawk from the tiny bird. The bird was cuddled close by the owl who glared at the three birds angrily.

"Your owl is very protective," Medic noted. "I don’t sink I’ve ever seen an owl do somesing like zhat before."

Medic reached up and scooped Archimedes into his hands. If he was going to be curious, he’d be better off in his hands, not perched where he could tumble and fall. Medic cupped his hands together so as to make a little ‘nest’ for the dove to relax in.

"Wächter und Snowflake are... All zhe family zhey have beyond meinself. Wächter put his neck out zhan lose his little brozher. Or son, depends how you look at it." Erna said and smiled softly, coaxing the owl to bring the dove over and cuddle against the woman. "In time zhey vill become two mutual flocks." she mused, despite her flock being mostly strays with the two main birds.

Mendeleev whooped in surprise and fell over backwards. Medic made a sudden movement as if to get up out of his chair but he stopped himself. Mendeleev could get back up by himself. He wasn’t helpless.

Erna’s owl, meanwhile, had been startled by the gang that had swooped in in place of Rutherford. The three doves seemed to be somewhat proud of that. Medic took note of their little display of swagger and frowned.

"I am disappointed in you three," Medic scolded sternly, leaning in closer to the floor and to them. "Wächter vas not trying to harm Rutherford.”

The doctor sighed and leaned back in his seat. “Zhey only just recently grew indifferent to Tavish’s parrot. For a vhile zhey saw him as a threat. Granted he can be obnoxious sometimes, so I cannot blame zhem for trying to keep him avay…”

"He’s more of a handful zhan all of my own birds combined. Anyvay, perhaps over time zhey vill come to be more accepting of each ahzher’s company."

Rutherford nipped Medic’s thumb. He wanted to get back to important bird things. Medic opened his hands and let the bird go free. “Shocking zhat zhe star of zhe show hasn’t made so much as a peep,” he joked.

Medic whistled and clicked his tongue. “Archimedes?” he called.

And in swooped the king of the flock himself in a most proud manner. He came to rest upon Medic’s shoulder. He nudged at Medic’s face to get attention. “Yes, Archimedes, I know you’re zhere now,” Medic told him patiently.

Erna sighed, petting the owl, but Snowflake growled it’s bird tone low, fluffing up and stalking over to the three birds when it saw his friend curled into their caretaker.

The tiny dove didn’t stand a chance, but it cooed roughly, like a vicious demand for them to ask forgiveness from the owl, puffing up and scowling the best that a bird his size could do.

He was small, but he sure as hell wasn’t weak willed.

"Snow." Erna said, softly warning him, but Wächter turned his eyes, watching the team of doves, ready to swoop in and save Snowflake.

  Mendeleev shuffled his feathers around and cooed. This new bird was bold. In contrast, Rutherford continued standing still, entirely unwilling or unable to process that a giant owl wasn’t  going to eat him whole.

"Rutherford, if Wächter is bozhering you, fly avay,” Medic said. “You have vings to use.”

Rutherford shuffled nervously but otherwise didn’t move. Medic sighed and scooped him up off the floor. Rutherford let out a surprised yelp of a coo and his eyes darted upward.

"Calm down, Taube, it’s just me." Medic gently rubbed Rutherford’s head with his thumbs.

With Rutherford removed from the situation, others took it upon themselves to take his place. Curie, Edison, and Verne fluttered down as a trio. All of them were fairly fluffed up, as if they were going to show up the gentle owl that had scared their brother.

Wächter just wanted to make more friends, but the aggression took him by surprise and he hooted, flapping suddenly, throwing Snowflake into Mendeleev with a squawking sound and the owl shot up, ducking into Erna’s lap, trying to urge her to hide him in her coat.

“Wächter, zhey von’t hurt you.” Erna tried to soothe the owl, too soft to do any harm to another creature, and found running was often better.

Snowflake wriggled but sat up, looking confused thought felt a little nervous being surrounded by new birds and alone, staying near his new friend, hoping he wouldn’t turn because of the accident.

Mendeleev, a rather thin dove compared to the rest, gently nipped at Snowflake. Rutherford stood still as a statue as Wächter poked his beak. Medic kept watch over the scene from the corner of his eye like a father might discreetly watch over his offspring.

"Mein worry is likely unwarranted. Zhey are smart birds."

"I vorry meinself, but Wächter has been fine so far, und Snowflake rarely leaves his side.” Erna said and smiled sweetly.

She watched the owl gingerly move back to the frozen bird and nuzzle it’s beak to show he was friendly, a gentle touch before retreating again with a tiny hoot fit for something the size of a humming bird rather than the beast of an owl.

However, Snowflake cooed at the nipping, beaming the most a bird could and pat the other bird again, reaching forwards with his wing happily.

  Galileo, ever the glutton for seed, had no problems walking right up to Erna to take the seed being offered to him. He cooed appreciatively up at her. Archimedes ate quietly in Medic’s hand. The doctor couldn’t help but smile because Archimedes’ beak was tickling his palm.

Other birds started flocking to the seed not long after it had been poured. A lovely chorus of humming coos resonated in the room as the milled about on the floor, eager to eat.

"Vell, zhere zhey are," Medic said. "It does not take much to coax zhem out. If seed doesn’t vork, bread crumbs vill. It’s a very rare treat for zhem."

Erna smiled and watched amused as Wächter looked up from the circle of doves, hooting curiously, tilting his head again to lick a few more seeds into his mouth before relaxing and smiled.

"Zhis is honestly amazink." Erna chuckled, watching Snowflake coo and try to touch the nearest dove with his wing, being slow and gentle.

"Do you know of the term, ah…" He glared at the Medic. "Once bittenm, twice shy? Maybe you’d leave me be if I bit you." He showed off his rows of sharp fangs with a smile.

"Do you not understand?"

"Nope. Zhat merely makes me interested in your teazh,. Are zhey like a shark's or an octopus?" Erna asked and smirked, adjusting her glasses. "See? You don't vin."

Medic rose and walked to his desk, where he fished out a bag of seed from one of its drawers. He returned to his seat and poured some out the best he could with one hand, the other still keeping Archimedes close to his chest.

"Here." He offered the bag to Erna after struggling to get some seed for Archimedes into his free hand. "Let’s see if zhat vill coax zhe rest of zhe birds out."

Archimedes craned his neck to look down at Galileo, and Medic kept his eyes on both. “Most of my flock keeps to itself. Zhey’ll occasionally nag me for attention, but zhey spend a lot of zheir time playing vhis each ahzher.”

Wächter stared at the new dove, hooting softly, twitching a leg like ‘I don’t bite’, rolling ontohis back, Snowflake scrambling to somewhat hug the owl, the owl returning the winged embrace and Snowflake cooed happily before he was released, hopping off and cooed at Galileo.

"Mein birds are quite gentle and earnest, secluded but more welcoming." she mused and smiled at the scene.

Hey Guys, So Uh, Wanna Get To Know Me A Bit?

I’ll only post this to my Dean and probably my Medic and/or Engie (maybe Solly too) and maybe eventually the other 10+ blogs haha.

Now I know I’ve been slow lately but my job is kicking up, I’ve got five hours a day minimum (usually about six to seven to just go do stuff before or after my shift), fixing my old car, and my new car, a new puppy (the sixth installment to my dog army), Granddad down from the US, Christmas, New Year, getting hauled into the TF2 fandom, being stuck in the wonderful SPN fandom, jumping between that, a new boyfriend (who lives in another city to me, or rather small country town), trying (and failing) to draw, reply, write my books, save money, think about UNI (woot woot).

And just chaos just everywhere, but it’s all worth it.

So, here’s something for you guys to get to know the crazy mun.

Give me questions and I will answer. I have a youtube with like nothing on it, and if there is it’s like a video from like three years ago (I know that’s how long I’ve been here) where I say haters shush or something.

But here I want to know what you guys want to know about me. So despite this being either on my other blogs or on a promo or whatever, please send it to THIS ask box as that would help to keep it together so I don’t miss anything!

If I get a lot, probably two videos, but no pressure, I just wanna try and sneak something in for you all to enjoy. (warning shitty phone camera will be used because I suck).

So for those of you who don’t know, this is my personal which is attached to my Dean, but meh. For those of you who are sweethearts and have been around forever, I hope I can show you more things to keep you here. For those who are new, check out the links, see what I’ve done, what you want to see done, what you want to hear from me, the lot.

Now this will end up in the rant tag because I’m waffling on, but to sum it up, I’ve been here forever it seems so it’s time I spoke up, made a video and tried to start something semi-regular to keep you guys up to date and hopefully help you to get to know me as a person behind the blog(s) rather than a monotone faceless text.

  "Cooo-hooooo. Coooooo-hhoooooo. Chhhoooooo." Medic’s tactic seemed to be working well, because Archimedes’ tone wasn’t very frightful or threatening. Medic didn’t stop holding the dove close, nor did he stop giving Archimedes affection.

A few other birds began to dare come closer to the scene. A rather fluffy one landed on Medic’s head and stared down with curiosity at the newcomers. 

“Coooooooococococo.”

Medic turned his eyes upward and saw the bird’s head poking over the top of his own. “Ah, hallo taube,” he greeted him.

"Vell at least zhe ahzhers are trying."

"Ja. Zhat is good." Erna said and smiled, the owl rolling onto it’s side, Snow jumping up and sprawling over the massive bird which dwarfed it, cooing happily and showing that the owl was just a big teddy bear.

"Zhis is zhem every day of zhe week. Giant babies." Erna chuckled happily and smiled brightly.

"Nein, zhis is a pretty simple meal. But if you’d like to pick out zhe vegetables you vould prefer zhat would help me to tailor a meal to suit you." she said and smiled faintly again, that raw, happy near serene look.

"Not used to just sitting around, watching the others do the work. Ha, never mind that I’m a Sniper. Big difference out on the battle field." Even then he tended to roam around to make sure he had a good vantage point.

Getting up from the chair he crossed over to the cabinets to look for some potatoes; the first thing in his vegetable search.

Erna chuckled to herself and hummed quietly, toasting bread to make her own bread crumbs, finding some spices as a German song rippled in her throat in a soft rumble of a hum.

"It is simply a thin piece of chicken coated in breadcrumbs und fried, zhat is all." Erna said and smiled lightly, relaxing into the simple act of gathering what she needed and setting up to cook.

"Oh." He laughed softly. It had sounded like something far more fancy. Since it was familiar he was sure that he was going to like it. He folded his arms over his stomach and took to watching her. For all of two minutes. "Need any help?"

Sleepless Nights

"Not so gutt. Zhings are very… Chaotic. But zhat is zhe life of a doctor." Erna sighed, drying her cup before turning to the other with a smile."Are you done vizh zhe machine, herr Sniper?" she asked kindly.

She needed to get another cup of coffee and gather the wet pages and leave. Being around others was starting to press down on her, but if the other needed her she’d help.

"Yeah. Go ahead." Stepping away from the other, Mundy ran a hand through his hair, unsure what to say or do. Again.

"I.. I’ll leave ya alone now. With your papers, and other doctor-y things ya need t’ do." Wow. Could he get any more awkward and obvious? He just needed to get out of here, and pretended like none of this ever happened. Maybe go off base for a while and hide in the bushes. 

He started walking away, deciding to head to his van, Pretending to be tired with a fake yawn, he figured that she would totally by that.

Then, he stopped in the middle of the hallway, appearing to have seen a ghost.

Erna frowned, filling her cup but kept an eye on the man. When he froze up, she quietly walked closer, sipping her cup.

"Und vhat has you valking around looking like zhe dead stalk you, herr Mundy?" she asked, using his name in the hopes that it would get him to focus.

And that look. Oh she knew it all too well. So it wasn't restlessness or natural all night, it was one of those wanderers. Like herself.
