So recently I've been making an large effort to stop my habit due to some recent motivation and there is some things ive found helpful in stopping my dermatillomania
Turn off the activity status on Instagram I dunno if this is on other social medias but when I text someone and they dont reply even if they're active it stresses me out causing me to pick so just turn off the ability to see if theyre online.
An app called quitzilla. Basically it tracks how long you've quit and gives motivational quotes. And you can put your reasons. Along with giving you achievements for certain things like if youve quit for a day or a week or a year. Its great.
Wear a ring. Whenever you feel the urge to pick just fidget with the ring take it off spin it around mess with it I dont care just dont pick.
And whatever you do don't give up. Yes I know you'll relapse you'll be doing well and then all of a sudden mess up but thats okay the most important thing is that you're trying.
