Alright itās time for me to analyze some bunnydoll scenes from episode 5 and 6. Because there were highlights in these episodes that kept me thinking.
UGH this show is so well written yall.
(I wrote this late at night forgive me if I sound a little confusing)
Thereās this scene that kept me wondering. The stargazing scene in episode 5.
āI think she tries way too hardā and YOU think way too hard about her. You see the way his expressions and voice acts in this scene? The stuttering. Itās like he wants to talk about ragatha and say how he feels but at the same timeā¦he doesnāt know exactly what heās doing or saying. Or trying to rephrase things in a way thatās not so personal. And how he doesnāt even look angry. His expression gets more gentle, he was mad yes when she said ānot anymoreā¦ā but he couldnāt snap or get āviolentā, he stayed silent. he cant stay mad at her.
I do believe in the theory that they have history. Because whatās the deal with them mentioning eachother left and right? Why does he soften in a lot of quiet moments for Ragatha and ONLY Ragatha in episode 5? Why is he thinking and trying so hard to almost UNDERSTAND why she is the way she is? āWHY are you pretending everythingās fineā literally asking her a question as if she was there when sheās not?
Episode 5 was a Ragatha episode, and we learned some things about her through both her AND Jax when venting. And I think episode 5 was when we the audience saw Ragatha in a different light, and Jax saw that too.
Yes. She is talking about pomni, but I think sheās thinking about Jax when she says that though. Kinger said āyou said you failed pomni. Why do you feel that way?ā And she answers with āidkā, I donāt think she thought pomni hated her, pomni wanted to be in her team after all. I think in this conversation, sheās bringing up her and Jaxās history and what happened between them through Pomni. As if saying that Pomni is gonna do the same thing Jax did to her when she failed.
Itās almost like a parallel with these two And their two episodes. episode 5 was about Ragatha, when Jax was venting, he was talking about Ragatha and we got a bit of a vague information about her. Episode 6 is about Jax, when Ragatha was venting, she was talking about Jax in a vague way as well.
In episode 6, we see Jax have a conversation with pomni in their practice session. And in that scene when pomni talks about how weāre still human, and how she doesnāt want to harm her friends, it reminded me of Ragatha, and it probably reminded Jax of her too.
And Ragatha reminds Jax a lot about humanity and how there is still purpose of being kind and having a high moral. Especially in that stargazing scene, asking why? Whatās the point? He even ask the same sort of question to pomni. And Jax doesnāt like that, he wants to drift away from that. Ragatha was HALF right when she said that heās āgetting close to pomni to corrupt herā. But I donāt think itās to corrupt her, he did genuinely want to be friends with Pomni, have fun with her, but ONLY fun, he was trying to get pomni to stop thinking about serious issues, such as connection, kindness, humanity, and to let loose. he wanted pomni to be like him, inhuman, NOT Ragatha.
And it was going fine and dandy when Jax and Pomni were being chaotic evil together. Until by the end of the game.
Thatās why when pomni began to behave like her, asking if she did something wrong. He got tired of it.
He doesnāt want another Ragatha. A person who reminds him of love, reality, and what his world used to be before the circus, itās all he secretly craves but desperately wants to be rid of it to not get himself hurt. He doesnāt want to lose people, just like Ragatha, but they go about it very differently.
