Summary: The fic starts the night before pinof 1, a year on from the prequal, Dan and Phil are becoming close friends via the internet, and are planning to meet. Both are excited and nervous for what may become of their friendship.

Prompt: “I just saw the weakest link episode with Phil and in the second last round when there are only two people left, Phil gets an answer wrong (but the answer is actually llama) I was wondering if you could make a fanfic on that, with how Dan was fangirling on the fact that Phil was on the weakest link and when he gets the llama question wrong, Dan sends Phil thousands of llama facts and everything and that is when Phil finally notices Dan? And Dan freaks out and is so happy!“

DAN POV:
Dan and Phil were skyping again, not like that was an irregular thing, they could be found talking to each other whenever they both had time to spare. Their friendship was growing quickly, especially now Dan had started a YouTube channel of his own, so they always came up with video ideas together. They were even planning for Dan to come visit Phil in Manchester the next day. It was all sorted, Dan was packed, they were just talking about it excitedly. "What should we do, go out?” Dan suggested, though he hoped Phil would decline, which he did, “What? Who do you think I am Daniel Howell? We’re going to stay home and enjoy ourselves eating popcorn and filming videos. Plus, my parents aren’t home for the whole three days, so we’ll have the place to ourselves.” Phil winked and smirked a little, Dan sighed. He could never decide whether he loved or hated it when Phil hit on him like this. He wondered if Phil knew what it did to him.

PHIL POV:
Phil laughed, a tad nervously after that. When Dan looked as adorable as he did then, Phil couldn’t help but flirt a little. He sat there, looking into Dan’s pixelly, but still gorgeous brown eyes. He then realised he was staring a bit and looked at his watch, it was 2:30 am, they’d been skyping for 6 hours. Phil yawned, “We should probably sleep.” he moaned reluctantly. “You have to get up early tomorrow to get here, and I need to be ready.” Dan nodded, and Phil blew him a sarcastic, but still flirtatious kiss, making Dan chuckle. Dan then hung up, and Phil stored his laptop safely under his bed, before dozing off.

DAN POV:
Dan laid back on his bed with a happy sigh after he hung up on Phil, he was so happy to be meeting Phil for the first time in real life. He was admittedly very nervous though, he liked Phil a lot, and although the boy flirted with Dan a lot, he was convinced it was just friendly banter. Even so, Phil was an amazing friend, and that was certainly better than nothing. Dan shut his computer and fell asleep minutes later, dreaming of Phil.

PHIL POV:
Phil woke up the next morning to a soft knock on the front door, he got up and stretched, then stopped when he saw the time. He’d slept in, Dan was here. Phil quickly checked himself in the mirror, he had terrible bedhead and bags under his eyes, but he couldn’t exactly keep Dan waiting. He rushed downstairs, trying to tame his mane of hair as he ran. He got to the door and paused, nervously. Then adrenaline took over him and he flung the door open. There stood Dan, his beautiful best friend who he’d waited so long to meet. They took a couple of seconds to register each other before pulling each other into a tight hug. Phil then broke apart from Dan and stepped aside so he could bring his bag in.

DAN POV:
Dan didn’t question Phil still being in his pyjamas, he had guessed Phil would sleep in, and found it cute how Phil looked with messy-morning hair. He took in his surroundings, the house was pretty cosy, he was looking forward to spending the next few days here. He then turned back to Phil and hugged him again, he was so happy to finally be meeting him. “So, hi!” Dan then said to him excitedly, “Hey” Phil replied more softly, his beautiful blue eyes twinkling joyfully. “So, what to do?” Dan asked his friend. “I say we just film some fun videos for a couple of hours, Dan nodded at this, and followed Phil up to his bedroom.

PHIL POV:
After about two hours of answering questions from social media and laughing, they were both nearly finished with a video they were planning to call 'Phil is not on fire’, combining their YouTube channel names. Dan decided to close the video by saying "This is the most fun I ever had”, and at that moment, Phil had an urge to hug Dan, he didn’t know where it came from, but he pushed Dan down to the floor. He wasn’t 100% sure where he intended to go from there though, it was a little awkward. Phil was just getting up again, when Dan grabbed the collar of his shirt (he’d changed out of his pj’s earlier) and kissed him softly. Phil was so confused to what had just happened, that he didn’t really take it in at first. He got up, and Dan, after also getting up, took Phil’s hands and kissed him again. Phil giggled a little. Dan then broke away and pulled Phil into an embrace. They stayed like that for a while, and then decided to watch Totoro. It wasn’t at all awkard anymore, they cuddled up on Phil’s bed and watched the movie on his laptop.

DAN POV:
After the film finished, Dan closed the laptop and looked across at Phil. Phil looked back at him. “Phil-” Dan started as Phil interrupted, “You know what happened earlier?” Dan nodded, he’d also been going to bring that up. “I-I didn’t have a problem with it Dan, Iike you, a lot.” Dan froze, he couldn’t believe what he was hearing, he somehow managed the words “I like you too”, Phil smiled at him and kissed his forhead, Dan yawned, and so did Phil. They put on another film, Howl’s Moving Castle this time, and cuddled upt o watch that. About three minutes in however, they fell asleep.
Dan woke up early next morning, he and Phil had fallen asleep cuddling, legs intertwined. Dan exhaled, and smiled. He turned round to see Phil fast asleep next to him. He couldn’t have been happier.
