This AU is meant to be relatively canon compliant (I will not lie there is a lot of HC's in play that will get explained in time :P) until a certain event/incident that changes the course of everything. Hence the au's other/official name, the Butterfly Effect AU!
+ some bonus character blurbs under the cut!
Jason is still just Jason, not much else to say. It is important to note that this isn't the Jason from Survive and Kill the Killers from Area 51, but an alternate version of movie Jason that stayed dead in The Final Chapter.
c00lkidd is a bit older in this AU (like, 14) and is far more nervous and struggles to ask for help; just like his dad. He's a bit of a chatterbox though, he hates the silence.
John Doe is a bundle of nerves that still managed to become an infamous rumoured 'hacker'. There might be some truth to John's hacking, but he's generally well meaning. He misses his wife.
1x1x1x1 Has not been outside of their cage at the heart of the Banlands for a long, long time. They would love nothing more than to be on the killer's side themselves, but they've been relegated into a survivor. They don't look weird, stop looking at them.
---
Noob is here to have fun, after all, that's what they've been brought here for! Sure, they're transparent for some reason, but over all its been a blast! They can't wait to make new friends :]
Telamon seems far more aware than he lets on. Devoid of hatred but also purged of compassion, humour, and attachments, he is a perfect weapon to be pointed towards the survivors. Don't worry about him, this was all self inflicted.
Elliot is similar to 1x, absolutely consumed with rage. After a certain... incident, all that has been driving Elliot forward is anger and hate. It's not really in his nature though. He's tired.
bojack horseman really treated hollyhock loosing a large amount weight from being secretly drugged as something bad and unhealthy and not as something with a silver lining bc she was now thin and then had her gain the weight back with no one making comments about how that was “unhealthy” and appropriately showed the fact that she was traumatized by the event and not secretly grateful other shows CAN NOT RELATE
And this is the same show that showed another character hesitate to take medication to treat her severe depression because of the risk of weight gain and then showed her, after agreeing to take it, fat and happy and mentally healthy and loved by her partner for the rest of the show. It wasn’t a temporary change to make a point then back to status quo, she got fat and stayed fat and the narrative told us it was better for her to be fat and healthy than thin and depressed or dead. And her weight wasn’t a punchline! It just was how she was now.
These two are a married couple. They never wanted kids. Diane gets pregnant. They still don’t want to have kids. Diane gets an abortion. At no point is the abortion blamed for any issues in their relationship. They agreed to it together, and that balloon made me laugh so hard I nearly had an asthma attack.
shoutout to the Manly Mandanna actually belonging (in Deltarune, at least) to a little girl that just wanted to be seen as tough and brave and probably drew the abs on it herself
This is - legitimately - my favourite delivery of Shakespeare I have EVER seen (and I have seen some good-ass productions yo, in the Globe Theatre itself even). Like seriously, even though the words are unchanged, he’s stripped away ALL of the archaic pretense and assumed grandeur of ~presenting the bard~ that makes even the most wildly talented of actors and innovative of productions inherently inaccessible to a modern audience. Like, they’re still great, they can still communicate the message and (some) of the nuance, but they’re still always a step removed from being identifiable to any viewer’s lived experience. They’re still always reciting 15th century poetry. But this guy? This guy is like, screw iambic pentameter, to hell with being precious about the material, HOW WOULD AN ACTUAL PERSON SAY THIS SHIT?
Like this. And it’s beautiful. It’s beautiful to hear a soliloquy I loved so much already, and have it come to life in a way it never, ever, did before. I feel like I grasp his motivations, his twists and turns, no longer on an academic level but on a visceral, instinctive one. Because he’s presenting his mental and emotional journey in a way that speaks honestly, like a real person.
So yeah, this shit post? I love it. Deeply and sincerely.
I realized recently I haven't properly drawn all of my mane six redesigns in literal YEARS soo time to change that! not much is different, just altered some colors and tried to make them less cluttered but they're kinda iconic the way they are,,can u tell fluttershy is my favorite one to draw...
