I love how Kinger essentially made a sentient, digital homunculi, locked it away to rot and gave it abandonment and self-worth issues and never received any actual consequence for it; and it's never addressed again in the show and never will be since the show's ended.

I also wish we had seen someone reach out to Caine at all. Even though at the end his love for the humans is no longer one-sided, and I do think him coming to develop empathy was necessary for him to discover by himself, we never got to see anyone show any concern or love for him until after he had died and came back. Which is a little sad.

Tadc ep.9 art I did a while back with the lamppost scene!

(Left) It's a quote that I've been thinking abt ever since I heard it from Sean (Kinger's VA) in a signing stream. To me, it serves as a reminder that no matter how futile you think your work is, it DOES have an impact on other people, and that's why you should keep going! I wanted to somehow incorporate it into my art, and I thought this scene would be fitting.

(Right) An alternate version that actually uses a quote from the show. Couldn't decide on using which one so y'all are getting both haha.

Getting tired of digital art recently, so I figured why not go back to my roots? And god knows I draw nothing but the teeth man nowadays, so here are some Caine sketches. The first one was done a week before so that's why it's so different. I think I'm getting the hang of drawing him in my style, and what will his legs be without some gloss? My favorite is the 4th one, for reasons that I refuse to elaborate on...

I Present to you, The Eden Brothers!

I was initially drawing my rubber hose Caine design (originated from this post), with the design of Caine in the Carnival AU (by @sm-baby). I sort of just combined the two together, and I thought "What if Caine had an older brother?" So yeah, that's the gist of how this all came together.

⚠️ It's important to note that I borrowed A LOT of stuff from sm-baby's Carnival AU (character designs, names), so I'm not declaring this as a new au of mine at all. Most credits go to them! Just treat this as a sort of spin-off I guess. ⚠️
