Okay so y’all have requested a fanfic about this, and I’ve never done this before so I wrote a lil snippet-oneshot. Please excuse the crappy writing, I tried!!
She gazed out from the balcony that overlooked her city below. A city that she had rebuilt from ruins, and from her own personal ashes. A warm breeze caressed her short silver hair, as a large familiar shadow passed overhead. She would wear no more braids, conquer no more cities. The red priestess who raised her had tried to convince her to return, but she wouldn’t. The ghosts of her past made sure of that. She took what remained of the Great Khalasar, and brought them here, to Old Valyria. The citadel had started treating greyscale, and so the stonemen slowly started to disappear. They rebuilt, slowly but surely, and the city grew with new life. Markets with trade flourished near the port, and children played in the streets. This was what she wanted, what she dreamed of. This was the home she searched for. As she turned away from the balcony, she caught a glimpse of the young boy, a child with curling black hair and dancing lavender eyes playing in the courtyard near the lemon tree. There would be time to explain to him, explain why she would never speak of Westeros, or the throne that was now a legend. There would be time to tell him about the Maester’s Song of Fire and Ice, and how her nightmares would never truly leave her. She retreated from the sunlight, into her dark chambers. A large golden brazier stood alone in the middle of the room, flames nearly pouring out of it. Three large eggs rested in the flames. It had taken years, and searching in the ruins, but they were able to find them. The old magic still touched her, as she was not burned when she lifted the bronze colored egg. A large crack appeared, nearly marring the eggs beauty, but the cry that poured out from it was music to Dany’s ears.
