EUSTACE + ISABELLA: KINDRED SPIRITS
Maybe destiny brought us together. Or maybe it was dumb luck. Either way, I am forever grateful to have met you & call you a friend.

franklongbottom-jr:
Frank laughed softly, raising an eyebrow as the student next to him walked into the great hall. “That’s some costume.”
The boy beamed with pride upon hearing the other’s remark. “Why thank you. I am quite proud of myself for coming up with it. Who knew I was such a punny guy.”
lovemenott:
Isabella offered him another kind smile at his words. His words that proved to her that they were very similar in thinking. It wasn’t that she thought she was wise behind her years, she hoped it, but she didn’t always think it. But, him thinking that about her showed her what type of person he was. Others found her kindness to be weakness or naiveness. Some mocked her for her views on the world, for always wanting to help others and for being happy just to make others smile. It never bothered her, the things they said, though. It didn’t stop her from being nice to them still, but it did show her what kind of person they were. “It really could be! Or, I very much hope it to be!” That was another thing she did that some judged her for. She still held hope for things, for people, for the world. “Thank you. I hope I find some good ones!”
If this was lighthearted ( & necessary as he would later come to see when things would get a little tougher & he would start to doubt that there was any good left out there & possibly no point in trying to keep it alive ) conversation was anything like what the rest of the friendship would entail, than he was certainly excited for it. You could never have too many kindhearted people in your life. That was for sure. Fawley was happy to have her included as well. “I’m sure you will,” he assured her, “& I do hope that you get around to telling me all about them once you do. I’d love to hear it.” His smile was genuine as his words were as he looked down at her.
callmeregulus:
Regulus raised an eyebrow. “An Obliviator? That must be an interesting job.”
“Yeah. Generally it keeps him pretty busy aswell. Especially with... recent incidents.”
callmeregulus:
“Ah, I see. Following in the family foot steps. I get that. So, what does your father do at the Ministry?”
“Exactly. He’s been working as an Obliviator for a number of years.”
FAWLEY’S COSTUME FOR THE HALLOWEEN PARTY
He wanted to go as something that required minimal effort but would also ( hopefully ) make people laugh. After they actually figured out what the joke was anyway...
callmeregulus:
“That’s an interesting choice of career. Any specific reason why you want it?”
“Every Fawley man in my family has taken up a job at the Ministry. It’s practically written in the stars that I do the same. But I’d like to specifically work in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement because I’d like to help keep people safe.”
callmeregulus:
“What are you going to do after you graduate?”
“Work in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. I’ll probably train as an Auror, do that for a majority of my career until I can wiggle my way onto the Wizengamot where I will remain for the rest of my days.”
ofnarcissasblack:
“No it isn’t.” She snapped immediately, shutting the book quickly. “I don’t get things wrong.”
He visibly jumped at her sudden movement, eyes wide. “I’m- I’m sorry.” It came out sounding like a question more than anything. “I didn’t mean to... offend you or anything, I was just trying to help.”
callmeregulus:
“Indeed, but it’s just sad how many people don’t do it. They just don’t realize that how they do now in school can and will affect the rest of their lives.”
“Most people don’t fret about life after Hogwarts until it becomes very apparent that it does indeed exist. Trust me, in my year I’ve seen so many people freaking out about what they’re going to do with their lives after we graduate. They’re suddenly afraid they don’t have enough time to figure it all out. It’s a bit sad.”
aidfromcaiden:
“On the bright side, I can usually fix whatever trouble we get into,” it wasn’t like he’s already had his fair share of accidents since the beginning of the year, what’s a few more? “I try, if you’re nice I’ll even give helpful pointers” he laughs, “is there such a thing as overqualified? St. Mungo’s needs the best.”
He nodded with a small shrug. “Fair enough.” Laughter overtook his body at Caidens ever so kind offer. “Hey! I’m always nice. I do nice people things.” His own brows furrowed as his comment left his mouth, realizing how dumb it sounded, he couldn’t help but laugh some more. “Which is why you’re gonna be working there right out of school, mate. You’re already my go to person when it comes to potentially broken wrists. Other people are going to need your expertise.”

callmeregulus:
“Hmmm…not sure if I do,” Regulus mused. “They usually just end up bringing trouble on themselves. And it is their choice to be lazy. Whereas, someone who’s stupid, didn’t ask to be stupid.”
“Wasted potential is always something I pity,” he explained. “But you make a fair point. Either way, it’s not terribly hard to study for O.W.Ls so no student has any excuse. You just pay attention in class, take decent notes, review what you know & study what you don’t. A simple guide to academic success.”
eriszabini:
Eris stepped closer “Wouldn’t have said anything if I wasn’t.”
He let her move closer, hands reaching out to gently grasp her waist in order to bring her just a little bit closer. “I suppose I can’t argue with that logic.”
amycus-cxrrow:
Oh this is too perfect. Amycus thought before he lightly gripped Falwey’s wrist and tugged him in the completely opposite direction. He made sure to only hold on for a little longer than necessary and then drug his fingers across his skin, and made sure show his want, before he dropped the other’s hand, “this way is quicker.” The best part of the plan was that Fawley probably wouldn’t realize until it was too late. This route was the longest possible, giving him enough time to play with him and see where he could take this. He knew what his ideal outcome was, but he didn’t know enough about Fawley to know if he could get his interaction there. As they walked Amycus made sure to keep brushing against Fawley.
The sudden warmth of Amycus’ hand on his wrist was both shocking & welcoming at the same time. Though before Fawley could get too used to it, it was gone. Nothing but the traces of his fingers making his face feel slightly flushed. He silently followed beside the boy, not trusting anything not completely moronic to come out of his mouth. But the silence provided no distraction from the fact that they were walking ridiculously close to each other considering they had the whole corridor to themselves. With each touch Fawley’s mind became more & more fuzzy & if he didn’t do something quick then he might just lose it. “What book were you reading back there?” he blurted out. How casual of him. Only continuing to ramble as he turned his head to look at the brunette. “When- When I so rudely interrupted I mean... What book was so good that you had to corner yourself to look it over?”
callmeregulus:
“True. Then there are those who are just plain lazy and don’t care. I don’t which is worse.”
Fawley shrugged his broad shoulders. “Probably the lazy ones who don’t do anything with all their potential. I usually feel a bit sorry for them.”
callmeregulus:
“I’ve always taken my classes seriously. And I don’t need them to repeat it every time I see them to remember. I get enough of that from my parents.”
“Good on you. You probably aren’t on their top list of students to be worried about, I assure you. Your other classmates however might not be as academically savvy as you.”
