Taken in June 1980 to promote the leading single from her third studio album Never for Ever, this visual session perfectly mirrors the song’s themes of deception, dual identity, and marital alienation.

I was livid at nature for having the dew point so high that it felt in the triple digits Fahrenheit all day (37c plus all day for you others) but then I ate the most wonderful, glorious and plump peach and we made up. I am okay summer for a little bit again. Only for a little though if this temperature silliness continues.

I need to go wander around home depot see if I can find any crap for my space suit. The space suit and the briefcase type thing I want to make really are the big things in the short film so I really should just start working on them. I also need to figure out who the space suit is going to go on so that you know I can actually make it.

I'm trying to refind my connection to photography. I miss it. I was finally getting good. There's just this level of obsessiveness I have to give to it anytime I feel I'm doing it to any level of properness. I can't just casually take a picture I start to obsess and obsess. You guys I love it so fucking much. Nothing hurts me more than bad photography. It like burns my soul. I miss it, that burning soul sensation.

Anytime I learn anything about my family's history of mental illness I end up thinking "wow it really was always an uphill battle." I'm actually doing pretty damn okay compared to some of the stories I now know.
