Filmed for a BBC television special entitled An Evening with Marlene Dietrich on November 23rd and 24th 1972, Marlene turned 71 the following month on December 27th. Miss Dietrich's "skin and beads" gown was designed by Jean Louis, a long-time collaborator who'd been creating the revealing costumes for Marlene's stage and cabaret act since the early-1950s.

This is one of the greatest movies of all time, in my opinion. The acting is superb, the script and cinematography original and individualistic, yet it's completely insane. I highly recommend it if you get the time.
