I think the funniest thing ZUN and company could do with the EoSD remake is make new, bespoke unfinished Rin Satsuki assets and leave them in the game’s files as a treat for dataminers.

the thing with touhou fangames is that you need a really good aesthetic, really good gameplay, or a really good story, because there are just so many touhou fangames out there.
in terms of difficulty to implement, aesthetic < gameplay < story. aesthetic is self-explanatory, but you may be saying "but making a good video game is so hard!" and well. it is! it's extremely hard to make a good video game.
buuuuuuuut the problem is that the bar for making a good fanfiction story rises based on how good the original story you're basing it off of is. and touhou (collective works of Team Shanghai Alice) is extremely good, while touhou (collective works of the fans of Team Shanghai Alice) is the average output of a large crowd of highly dedicated otaku. which usually has a lot of passion about something but passion does not generally translate to skill. so in practice if you want to create an interesting story you probably should just hew as closely to the source material as possible in terms of characterization and theme as you can, otherwise something scary might happen to you.
anyway fantasy maiden wars somehow manages to sail blissfully at a totally oblique trajectory to touhou (collective works of Team Shanghai Alice) but manages to tell an enjoyable super robot wars story anyway. while also maintaining both of the other two sufficient qualities (really good super robot wars game, really aesthetically charming.) you should go play it right now

boy I love trying to be enthusiastic about a new game in a series I enjoy only for someone to swoop in with a 'well actually' that ruins my good mood.
Wow, the pokemon company actually giving game freak dev time? Now that's a miracle I didn't think would ever happen!

Ozempic is a diabetes drug with a side effect of weight loss that is now rarely able to be prescribed for diabetes because of the value it possesses to the medical weight loss market, leading to the development of Mounjaro, a diabetes drug that has a less effective weight loss side effect, which is now under restricted prescription in the uk because it has become valuable to the medical weight loss market, driving the price up.
I am diabetic, I am on Mounjaro, and it’s done better for my HbA1c (blood sugar average) than any medication in the previous ten years of treatment, and would likely push me back into effectively “remission” on a higher dose, which I cannot be prescribed because of market conditions; and if I weren’t already on it from the NHS trial period, I would likely not get it now.
This kind of misinformation OP complains about above kills people.
I work in litigation support for a firm that has been handling cases against Ozempic, Mounjaro, Trulicity- basically all GLP-1 RAs. The amount of calls I've gotten from people who have basically been given an absolute hellish life because they were put on this medication floors me.
People who vomit literally every day.
People who have had to undergo the removal of organs.
People who were diagnosed with Gastroparsesis and Blindness and a whole host of other physical ailments.
And why? Because doctors keep prescribing it as weight loss medication instead of diabetic medication like it was supposed to be used for.
I still get chills thinking about one call I had. The client passed away and the cause of death was ruled a case of Ozempic use. They were on it for two weeks. They lost twenty pounds.
That's worth it? That's fucking worth risking your life for? The life of others? it sickens me how society treats people who they deem overweight. That it feels like they'd rather see us dead than overweight.
And of course, this doesn't even take into account the fact that these medications were for diabetic use, and that people who are diabetic can barely fucking get the medication- medication they actually need to treat their diabetes. Because the self-proclaimed weight loss gurus of the world saw a miracle drug and decided that weight loss was the more important use of it.
I will never- ever recommend Ozempic or any drugs of its ilk for weight loss to anyone I know. The risk of death and the whole slew of other issues isn't worth it for the potential to lose ~50lbs and be forced to take the medication for the rest of your life or else the weight comes back effectively overnight.
Heart hands!
Happy Valentine’s Day🫶

yeah i like to give my blessing to the most pathetic looking weak little knight at the tournament. she can’t even look me in the eye when i give her my flower and she stutters out that she’ll do her best or something of the like. i think its funny when she has to cry and beg my forgiveness and i get to say “such a shame, i suppose my hand in marriage will have to go to someone else…” and then i get to hear her whimper like a dog. ive done this like 6 times alrea-
did she just win.
I shall prepare a stew for the wedding! Extra salt!

I’ve been waiting all year to post this.
“Bob, can you believe this match-up?! Raymoo Hackery, the all-star we’ve known for several seasons of offense … and she’s playing defense! What a draft pick that was! And she’s got her work cut out for her, too. You remember these two, Melissa and Alice? No slouches, either. Alright. Now here’s what they’re up against: Raymoo’s going to be making a lot of lateral moves, but if the offense stays focused, they should be able to cut through some of the more forward passes. But look out! See these circles? Bam, bam, bam, bam. You can get sacked before you even know it. It’s going to be a helluva game, Bob, back to you.”
