The thing about revan and the exile, the thing you see, is that Revan looms over kotor 2. There is not escaping the name. They are never once in frame but they draw the eye like a blazing supernova just out of shot, everything else is illuminated in contrast. This thing is so bright, so overwhelming, to film it directly would overexpose the whole shot and display nothing.
The exile isn’t in kotor 1. They are never mentioned. There is no name to mention. Ask the narrative and it will say they do not exist. Revan had no supporters who returned to the republic. The council has turned on none of its children. Beyond the frame of the shot is only darkness. Eyes forward, there is nothing to remember over there. Only absence. A blackhole, imperceptible. If the camera turned, it would see nothing.
