Today I took the scenic route from Sandy Oregon to San Francisco. It took 16 hours, 800 miles, and 3 tanks of gas. The drive was amazing, especially around Mount Hood, Crater Lake and on the Pacific Coast Highway. I drove through sunshine, snow, fog, and a heavy thunderstorm. I lost cell service for hours on end. It's scary being out that long, alone, with no means of contacting anyone.
