WHAT: Vita Fede Emma Ring WHERE: 32nd Annual PALEYFEST LA - ‘Outlander’ WHEN: 12th March, 2015
WORN WITH: Bottega Veneta Jumpsuit, Stuart Weiztman Shoes, Vita Fede Stud Earrings, Vita Fede Thread Earrings
I believe something happened around Paleyfest: this ring, 2 kisses on stage in front of tons of people and cameras to record, yes Cait looking radiant and frankly both of them with lots of heart eyes, also on the red carpet, KDS making them play the Newlywed Game using the show as an excuse, Cait making her claim by warning “Remember Ladies, no touching” and at the end, they were the only 2 people left on stage with Cait helping him with his mic, a very supportive wifey gesture. just saying!
Cait also said “You’re my favorite husband” when she was turned away from the mic. That speaks volumes.
@ashmarie1687 !!!!
@an-gaol-seo-ol omg!! Finally! The ring! So glad to see what it looks like upclose and not blurry.
Will always reblog!

One more reason Downton Abbey movie sequel filming is delayed to this summer. Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary) is not available yet. BTW Matthew GoodE (Henry Talbot)’s hit TV series - A Discovery of Witches - also filmed in Oxford : )
“They should have been ridiculous. And perhaps they were. Parading in circles on top of a hill. But the hairs on the back of my neck prickled at the sight. And some small voice inside warned me, I wasn't supposed to be here. That I was an unwelcome voyeur to something ancient and powerful.”

In Congress….not all assholes are Democrats. But at least ALL Democrats stick together like the thieves they are. The Republican assholes eat their own and loyalty to their voter base is non-existent. Capitol Hill is a bigger garbage pit than Hollywood….at that is saying a lot.

“Triumphant having lifted the Puterach Lifting Stone at Balquhidder. It weighs around 100kg but is very slippery to hold.”
Sam Heughan
🗿The Pudrac (plinth) is probably Neolithic in origin, at least 4000 years old, and originally formed part of a sacred landscape centred on the site of the modern church. The site was taken over by the Christian monk Angus in the 7th century CE. The Puterach stone, possibly from the Gaelic Putaireachd meaning ”pushing”, was used for demonstrations of manhood by lifting it on to the flat top of the Pudrac monolith. This is most likely to have taken place during the Angus fair each spring, when the young men of the glen would compete with each other. The church frowned on the practice and in the 19th century the minister had the original stone removed. It is said to have been incorporated into the Manse dyke wall some time in the 1800’s. The first written reference to the Puterach was made in page 209 of “McIans Highlanders at Home” by James Logan and published in 1848. Logan makes only a reference to a “Stone of Strength” named the Puterach. It’s thought that the Puterach was a MacGregor stone: “The stone was a test of strength for young men, who had to lift it on to another stone.” Amelia Georgina Murray MacGregor History of Clan Gregor (1898) There are even MacGregors who were named after the stone. The land surrounding the Pudrac is privately owned by Kenny and Laura Thomson. It was a tour of the stones in January 2011 that sowed the seeds of having a replacement stone for the Puterach put in place. Both Kenny and Laura were wholeheartedly behind the placement of the new stone with one proviso in that it should be a local stone. The replacement stone, weighting around 220lbs (100kg), was found at the Tom na Croiche moot hill and taken to sit beside the Pudrac. Since then strongmen from around the world have visited to test their strength. Loading the Puterach on the eastern side of the Pudrac is traditional. The Puterach is known for being located near Balquhidder and the grave site of Rob Roy MacGregor. It’s almost a given that he attempted the Puterach.
