Defining the Genre: Adventure

Adventure films are pretty simple: you need a hero with an internal conflict, and in order to get over that conflict you send them on a journey to an exotic place. On their journey they must make lots of friends and go through many emotions, at the end they must return home with the answer to that internal conflict.

Subgenres include: most animated films, epics, swashbucklers and fantasy films.
