Watching MarriageToxin, and femboy who cons other men out all their money in marriage scams turns matchmaker for an assassin, is a very cool type of guy to me.
The main character Gero Hikaro is the most swagless man imaginable... And he really needs some help, because if he doesn't get married to a woman and have an heir to the leadership of the Poison Clan, the clan will make his lesbian sister marry a man to do it and he might be an assassin but he's also an ally đłïžâđ
It is extremely important to note that this is structurally a shonen fightin' show. Yes, it's about working on yourself as an element of finding a romantic partner, valuing persons of your preferred gender as people, and how the latter is the only way you'll meet the right person, but this is explored through the medium of fights with dudes with weird character designs and supernatural martial techniques supported by sciency-sounding gobbledegook.
To be clear it's probably the best show of the season, with Witch Hat Atelier right on its heels.
I would put Witch Hat Atelier ahead of MarriageToxin, but they are both very good.
I've come to the conclusion that this is a case of Anime's pathological aversion to calling a trans character trans. So at this point I'm pretty sure Mei Kinosaki is actually a trans woman who cons men out of all their money in marriage scams, and will also engage in some toxic yuri if the marriage scam will be lucrative enough. Which is also a very cool kind of gal to me.
Honestly I think Gero would be marrying her if it weren't for the "have a biologically related child" prerequisite... Which at that point, just kill the rest of the Poison Clan.
Honestly I think there's a 1/3 chance that "magic transition with fertility (don't worry about it) poison" is the endgame here.
I will be VERY happy if that's the direction they go

Imagine you're a big wrestling fan. You follow this one really dominant wrestler and you absolutely love her. You keep up with all the drama and you're super invested until one week there's just Bomb after Bomb.
First your fave dominates an event - duh, obviously, she's the best. Then during the part of the show where the announcer is like "anybody in the audience want to challenge her for a fat stack of cash", somebody actually does. (Obviously a tourist.) It's some kid wearing like a beginner outfit from a McDojo... and he actually wins?And gets the cash! And then the event just ends!?
You're buzzing. It's clear that this is like a storyline or something. You can't wait for next week's show. Except that there isn't one, because - as you find out through the gossip mill - your fave was actually the local billionaires' daughter who was competing in secret. And also kayfabe might not exist. And now she's gone and the billionaire is blaming a demigod (who's back from the dead? I guess?) for kidnapping her.
So, how come that means no show this week or possibly ever? Well, the billionaire hired the promoter (and a random McDojo sensei) to go after the demigod to get back his daughter (your fave wrestler!) and the guy just... packed up his entire promotion and left.
Some months later the war that's been going on since your great-grandfathers days ends. You go to a peace parade. And there she is: Toph Beifong, the Blind Bandit, giving the new Fire Lord a noogie.
Insane fucking storyline.

as a rare excercise i tried to see if i could do a self protrait where i replicate the artstyle of @tealights-of-dorley and im genuenly very proud of how i came out, the hardest part was replicating the specific type of brush.
i decided to try my hand at replicating two other styles. one from the talented @zal-cryptid, author of misfits in toyland. and the other from a good friend of mine whose art you should totally follow
i wonder who that last one was emulating đ
ive also done some self-portraits based on the styles of both @zal-cryptid, @fipindustries, and @tealights-in-the-sand :3

Finally turning in my share of this art trade! I've been in a slump for the last month or so and this ended up being a great exercise to get me drawing again.
