To endure the wait for Pokemon Go (was late posting this as Pokemon Go came out and I was too busy), I have been drowning my time with Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And I have to say, it's pretty different than the Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. The Complete Saga is probably my favorite Lego game still, but The Force Awakens is still good.

Like any other Lego game, the characters are still acting like fools, and like the other ones, they get a smile from me still. But why talk about the same, when The Force Awakens has so much more? First, it is the second game to have special finishers for each (I think) character. Like Finn dashing towards an enemy and punching them in the stomach. It has multi-builds so there is more than one way to solve puzzles (on some, for most it just leads to a red brick or a minikit). It also allows you to explore 5 ( not exact number) planets with a plentiful missions and areas that unlock the gold brick, the brick that is close to useless to all but those 100 percenters.

But above all, the real reason this game succeeded for me, was BB-8 rolling around. That one character. Seeing him roll around was the greatest thing. Enough that I couldn’t go exploring without being as BB-8 after a while. BB-8 is now my favorite Lego character. By far. With maybe Ant-man in second. Depends.

Anyways, if you like Star Wars, Lego games, childish jokes, a fantastic time waster, and/or BB-8, this game is for you. If it isn’t, at least you can find videos of BB-8 rolling around on Youtube.

Well, Pokemon Go has finally been released. My time on it has been great. Most things on it are amazing. Not perfect mind you, but pretty good. The areas where pokemon are found makes some sense (have seen a lot of Drowzee's, but I don’t know where their habitats would be except in/near a city.) Now, to go in the good and bad.

The bad, the servers repeatedly goes up and down randomly, or the server doesn’t fully go down but it takes two minutes waiting for the spearow in the pokeball to finish shaking. It's the only bad thing about it, but it's such a big part that I can’t fully wrap myself in the pokemon world. It feels like a dream, going in and losing myself for a bit of time, but then waking up, and it taking too much energy to get back into the dream.

The good, the pokemon look amazing. Especially my little Bulbasaur. I have plenty of pokeballs and eggs, but that may be from tons of pokestops being near me and the fast recharge time they have. Just really amazing. And the capturing sequence to catch the pokemon are fun, and luckily I haven’t spent too much time throwing balls at them before it starts becoming annoying.

To wrap things up, if you enjoyed any of the pokemon games, get Pokemon Go. Also, here's my team at the moment. Jynx (highest rating), Gastly (second highest and second favorite), Bulbasaur ( my starter choice and the cutest/favorite), Drowzee, two Rattata, and a Spearow. Now, let's hope Rapidashes are near me to make an ulitmate team, for now.

Goodbye 2015. Hello 2016.

As 2016 is getting started many of us (hopefully not just me) are looking back at what we did in 2015. Here's what happened to me in 2015.

In January my Mom turned 30; we went to Medieval Times and the Fort Worth Science Museum. This included our first visit to a planetarium. February my sister turned 10 and for her birthday we went to the American Girl doll store in Houston, Texas. We also visited the NASA Museum and did a behind the scenes tour of mission control and training buildings at NASA’s Houston campus.

In March I turned 12 and for that we rented a movie screen at the Alamo Drafthouse so me and my friends could play games on a huge screen. We played Super Smash Bros. Wii U and Mario Kart. We had lots of cookies and an all you can eat breakfast cereal bar. It was pretty awesome! We also went to the Sherwood Forest Faire with Grandpa and got to see some jousting, sword fighting, and eat some turkey legs.

May we did Free Comic Book Day and wore our Avengers masks, I was Iron Man, of course. In June I finished my first year of Junior High (or middle school if that's what you call it). July we went to Classic Games Fest which had tons of retro video games and cosplayers because without them, it wouldn't be a gaming convention. After being in Austin for 2 years we finally visited the Texas State Capitol for the first time and went to Schlitterbahn Waterpark for the last time.

Finally August came and after a month of packing we made the move from Austin, Texas to Boston, Massachusetts. During our week long road trip we visited to Memphis, Nashville, St. Louis, and Cleveland. In St. Louis we took a riverboat tour and went to the top of the Arch, except our Dad...it’s a heights thing. In Cleveland we went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Christmas Story House and Museum.

Once we finally got to Boston our first outing was to the science museum, which had a special pixar exhibit. We also went to Singing Beach to check out the Atlantic Ocean for the first time. In September I started 7th grade and my sister was started 5th grade, her last year in elementary school. We checked out the Boston Aquarium and started exploring downtown Boston along with the harbor walk.

October we went to Salem which is famous for witch burnings and such for their Halloween activities. We also checked out Six Flags New England for their Fright Fest. November Mom cooked a turkey for the first time in recent history. December was packed with stuff starting with a visit to Portsmouth, NH for the Vintage Christmas parade, food, shopping, and museum of historical houses. For Christmas I got a Lego Death Star, Playstation 4, some games, and a few other things. We also got snow which we haven't had since 2012 and I got to see Star Wars The Force Awakens twice! And finally, wrapping the year up, we spent Christmas at a new Great Wolf Lodge (a topic for another day).

With that, that recaps my year for 2015. Some big changes, some small. My present for you guys will be to keep you guys updated with the completion of the Death Star, maybe trying to blow up planets with it but, that may be just be possible in Star Wars. Let's see if 2016 will top the last.

Mini Weekend Vacation to Dallas, Texas

So in January we went to Dallas for the weekend. While we were there we went to Reunion Tower,  Medieval Times, and Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. Reunion Tower shows you the Dallas area. Medieval Times we watch knights do challenges and jousting and we get food. Fort Worth Museum of Science and History we learned about dinosaurs, the earth, and went to the Planetarium.

So on Saturday we got up, packed our bags, and headed for Dallas. The first thing we did was go to Reunion Tower for about 30 minutes. Reunion Tower is 561 feet in the air that shows you a 360-view of the Dallas area. They have these touch screen computers where you can look at a closer view of Dallas, from live camera’s, and learn more about the buildings. After the tower we headed to our hotel. It was a little bit from Medieval Times, like maybe 20 minutes, so we had to leave the hotel after like two hours. The hotel kind of looked like a motel meaning it was small but it was still ok.

When we got to Medieval Times we had wait in line for about 20 minutes until it started moving and it probably took another 10 minutes to get inside. Once inside we looked at some of the stores and then we sat down waiting for our time to go inside the theatre. We have been to Medieval Times one other time before and we sat with the Black and White knight which won. Our parents have been there one additional time and they sat with the Black and White knight which won. This time we sat with the Blue knight.

After a little bit we got started and food came out. We had Baby dragon, dragon eggs, and dragon toes and we had to eat with our hands, crazy right? Anyway the first challenge was to throw their spear and hit the target and then there was one that you had to get their flag from the stands with their spears. Now comes the joust. The first challenge was Yellow vs Green and Yellow won. The second battle was Blue vs Red and Blue won! Yeah! But the third battle was Black and White vs Blue and the Blue knight lost super fast. The fourth battle was Yellow vs Red and Yellow and Yellow lost so the final battle was against Yellow and Red vs Black and White and once again Black and White won. He seems to win every time we go there. So it was late and we went to our hotel and slept.

After breakfast we went to the museum which was part of an event so we had some confusion but we got inside and we went to the dinosaur part where we learned about dinosaurs. Then we go into a short show where we learned about the Universe and the Earth. To get out of the theatre we had to go to an area about how we get oil. Then we went to the science area where there was like a tiny fake tornado and we got to separate it and then something on how to see the strings go back and forth by pulling it. Then we went to a space area on like meteorites and a show on black holes then we were done and went home.

So thats my weekend in Dallas. We have been to Dallas a few times but the tower and the museum was a first. So I would say the best part of the trip is Medieval Times, I would recommend going there.

Check out my awesome "business" cards! My dad had a designer he works with come up with cards that had my name, blog, and most importantly my gamer tags across consoles. I get to hand them out at school, to friends, family, etc. Then all they gotta do is add me and it's game on.

Disneyland, LEGOLand, Hollywood...Oh My!

Have you guys ever been to Disneyland or Disney World? I got to go for the first time. Not to Disney World, I went to DisneyLand with my family and my Great Grandma over Thanksgiving. So here are my favorite things at DisneyLand and what we did at DisneyLand and how we got there.

When we got there at the train station we waited there for a long time and it started raining then the wind started picking up so when we were walking to our car we were walking in water, soaked, and tired. It was hard sleeping on the train so I started waking up every couple hours or so. The train ride took 36 hours and we traveled to L.A. After we got there we got our rental car and we drove to Legoland and spent some of the day there. After we were done we went to one of the Disney hotels which my sister and I didn't know we were getting. A plus in the hotel is that we get to go in to one of the parks one hour early. We went to Downtown Disney for dinner then looked at a shop; which by the end of trip we bought a stitch painting, some postcards, a necklace, and a space duck painting (which is just Donald the duck on the moon in a space suit).

The first ride we went on is Star Tours where we went through a virtually journey through space. The next and one of my favorites was Space Mountain where you go through a dark tunnel with ups and downs and turns. That day we also saw the star wars kid recruit thing which they fought either Darth Vader or Darth Maul. Also we went on a Nemo under water journey which we saw some of the fish from the movie swim around. For dinner we ate at Goofy's Kitchen which they had peanut butter pizza. We also met Chip, Dale, and Pluto.

The next day we went to the other park which is California Park. The main place we came to this park for is the Cars Land. This area has a ride that lets you see the places from Cars like tipping tractors with Mator, going to Luigi's car shop and having our tires replaced, then we race someone else - which we beat our opponents both times. In Cars Land we went on two other rides: dancing with tractors in Mater's Junkyard and bumper carting on tires which was hard because you have to move with your weight.

We also went to Bugs Land where lights were shaped like pencils. The two rides we went on there was a bumper car ride and like one of those things where you spin in circles but you get to be in the air. After those two areas we went to Ariels Grotto for lunch. After lunch we went to Ariel’s ride and Goofy's Flight School.

Until the play Aladdin we went around looking for characters which we found like Mr. Incredible and Daisy. We also saw Micky twice or three times but didn't get there in a enough time to meet him. To pass the time we went to talk to one of the sea turtles from Nemo and learned how to draw Minnie. After a while we got in line for Aladdin which was cool but there was no monkey and when it was over it was late so we went back to the hotel.

The last day we went back to the first park and we went on Splash Mountain and Astro Blasters, and a bobsled kind of ride. The last day we didn’t really do anything too big expect its a small world.

All the characters we met throughout our trip was: Mickey, Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Mary Poppins and Bert, Anna and Elsa, Minnie, Pluto, Dale and Chip, Mr. Incredible and Fro Zone, Snow White, Arial, Repunzel, Aurora, Belle, Captain Hook, and the Fairy Godmother.

My favorite rides included Radiator Springs Racers, Splash Mountain, Astro Blasters, Space Mountain, and Goofy's Flight School.

After our last day in Disneyland we went to the beach and went on a tour around Warner Bros Studio. That night we slept at a different hotel then early the next morning we got on a plane and flew over the clouds to Austin and that would conclude my Thanksgiving break.

First Day of School

Today was the first day of 5th grade. We had a paper with a bunch of questions about ourself to give to our teacher. These were my answers (in bold).

What I like most about school is the tests.

What I like least about school is P.E. 

I wish the teacher would let me sit by myself.

The subject I like most in school is reading.

I am really good at games.

I would like to learn more about space.

I need some extra help with writing.

In the classroom, I wish I could sit alone.

In the classroom I tend to behave nice and helpful because I am good.

My favorite book is Star Wars A New Hope because I like Star Wars.

I live with my mom, dad, and my sister.

Three words to describe myself are awesome, smart, nice.

I like to participate in the following activities with my friends games and sports.

Learning is fun when I have a test to do for it.

I like to get praise for being cool, smart, and awesome.

I learn best when I'm awake.

One thing that really bothers me is my sister.

One thing I know about myself is I'm weird.

Summer of Minecraft

My current obsession is playing minecraft. I try to spend a few hours every day building and battling. The majority of the time I play on my server that my dad bought for me and my friends. The server is called creepergoboom.com. It’s currently a private server for us but I want to make it public soon. My friend dmadma60 and my dad also play on the server as well. My favorite thing in minecraft is parkour. I like it because it challenges me to try to get the right jump and perfect timing. However with the new 1.6 update the sprint is laggy which kinda ruins parkour for now. Dinnerbone says it will get fixed at some point though.

In my world I have been building quite a bit. I have a white house, where the mayor (me) works, so my citizens can come talk to me. I’m working on building a kingdom but only have a house done so far. A police station which houses the cops and their equipment. They are always on the lookout for robbers. The quickest way to my house is the roller coaster at the entrance of my town. I’ve finished my covered water slide which makes it look dark and pretty cool. My house is done, for now, and is made out of my favorite block...gold (aka butter). One of my favorite creations though is my parkour map and although was working it is currently back under construction due to a mishap with a creeper...boom! 

Dmad and my dad have also built a lot of stuff on the server. Dmad originally made a pretty big house but has since destroyed it. He also has a castle that is just about finished that looks pretty great. His recent builds include a two story house and a three story house with a basement. My dad also plays minecraft a lot under the name fleetingftw. He has been building random stuff everywhere. He built some wool art of the Texas Flag, the Reddit logo, Jake the Dog, and Mario. The Mario statue looks pretty awesome. His current creation is a very incomplete and very large Grand Entrance for his upcoming castle. He also has some other structures that he is just playing around with.

Besides building on my own server I play a lot on other servers as well. Mostly the different survival games which can be pretty fun. I'm pretty much spending all of my time this summer playing minecraft and I don't see that changing anytime soon. My username is DarthFleeting so say hi if you see me around.

Hey my name is Chase, I am 10, and my bday is 3-11. My hobbies are playing video games, watching tv, and playing Legos. I am doing this blog so I can express myself. The three ways you're going to know what I am doing is by video, posting pictures, or writing posts. Most of my videos are going to be what I do on minecraft. I will be sending photographs about what I made with my Lego's. I'm into Lego Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Wars, Chima, and every other Lego. Most of my posts is going to be about what I do everyday and what games I played that day. My birthday was a week ago, I turned double digits. My two main presents was an iPhone 4S and the Lego Death Star. My favorite food is bananas. Oh, and I'm awesome!
