Finally ran again after a few days off.
Morning miles today.
There were 3.
6:30 group workout this AM.
And I don’t have anywhere to be until a meeting at 2, so I get a rare morning of relaxing post-workout!
4 miles as a writing break today.
so, so grateful for beautiful trails and my feet on the pavement and the sun breaking through the trees
Sometimes you just have to stop and smell the roses and remember why you do it.
I brought my boyfriend to my hometown, so that’s why no updates last week.
But here’s the rundown for the week:
-7 walking days
-5 runs
-1 surf session
-1 distillery
-1 brewery
Came back to Atlanta to 90 degree weather for my run today and I’m just like I’m meeeeellltttttiiiiiiingggggg.
6 am miles this morning, 6 am miles tomorrow morning.
You heard it here first folks.
Group workout was just ok today.
I didn’t feel like I pushed that hard - I don’t know if it was the workout itself or me phoning it in a little because my leg felt twingey. Ah well. At least I showed!

Foot is feeling a little funky.
I think I might have bruised my heel bone playing soccer last night (p.s. only girl so we played a man down and I had no subs, I still scored the 2 game winning goals, casual).
So at the very least I’m putting off a run until later today. I really don’t want to break my workout streak, so I’m about to go for a walk to see if I can shake it out (plus it’ll still count as a workout even if I can’t run).
