More fun Lesbian/Old Order Mennonite story. I attended class with my best friend at her university today. She was sitting beside me starting to weave a rainbow bracelet, like a good lesbean. I was reading a book on Old Order Mennonite Practice and Theology. I told her that was a pretty great representation of our friendship. I had to get a picture of it some how, so she put her colours on my (Old Order Mennonite) hat, and we get a perfect image of worlds crossing in harmony. @multicellularlettuce
Not been so active lately but happy Pride to my friend, and to y’all!
Texting my very best friend @multicellularlettuce, whom I can always count on to be the useless lesbean I know and love.
So I gave my friend @rootvegggiesarelife a little cast iron pan for Christmas and he named it...
Which is usually the point in time that I get very excited and make a big deal at @multicellularlettuce and she rolls her eyes at me.

Fun lesbian/Mennonite story: So this past weekend, my best friend @multicellularlettuce and I, were at the MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) Relief Sale. It’s got quilts and second hand goods and lots of very heavy foods. It’s a whole Menno-Fest. Now, she and I went looking for some dear friends of ours who are “Conference Mennonites” (meaning a broad range of Mennonite that are not “Plain Mennonites”, like my best friend! Who is Mennonite Brethren Conference)
So we went looking for them through the crowd because they were having the Dyck/Dick family reunion. Yes. That is a very common Prussian Mennonite name. We looked and looked and eventually found them and it was very good. All this pretty much to tell you that this was the first and probably last time that I’ll ever have taken a Lesbian on a Successful Dyck hunt.
Rolled up sleeves are just better. And clearly, they bring us closer together.
Text credit to @bikebutch, and for giving me the idea, so thank you! Photo credits go to a friend in Ontario, Mennonite boys and the Amish girls are friends/aquaintences of mine.
My very best friend, @multicellularlettuce. I’m pretty sure I broke her... Honestly, I get it.
Also, just want to thank @multicellularlettuce for helping me out with this blog, being my meme guinea pig and what not. And for always being my inspiration, both here and in the real world. Thanks, bud!
Honestly, I’m not crazy here. Am I, people? @multicellularlettuce
To me, that just means Lesbians have excellent taste in clothes.
Please do!
Nothing like receiving these confusingly frantic texts from a dear friend. It happens more than you’d think.
My best friend and I are a special kind of folk
You know... sometimes I wonder if I try too hard to find similarities between us plain people (Amish/OOM) and the lesbians. Then I remember this time where I was in a hardware store, wearing denim pants and vest, suspenders and a straw hat and I lock eyes with a woman wearing pretty much the exact same thing. We nod knowingly at each other as we both slowly reach for the only wood we both know we would ever use...
Tractor included. Obviously. (My Old Order Menno friend on the tractor)
Funny thing is, this has actually happened.
