Do all climbers do the thing?

Where you pull open a door with a solitary ring finger. Pick up a mug between your thumb and pinkie, take a sip, put it down, pick it up with your thumb and ring finger, take a sip, put it down, pick it up again with your thumb and index etc, etc, Stand in doorways gripping the top of the frame and clenching distractedly rocking on tip toes whilst conversing with people. Carry like 8 bags of groceries with a single finger and absent-mindedly flex your grip. It’s not that you think about doing it before hand, you just kinda do it?

Such an incredible experience getting to rock climb in Bishop, CA this last weekend. Didn’t quite send what i was hoping for but I’ll definitely be back to try some problems again! Always such a good time in the eastern Sierras.

Recent photo studies! I started rock climbing again this summer(which is still the best thing I’ve ever done for my hand pain) and also realized that climbing pics make terrific figure studies! Really dynamic, but weighty/solid-feeling poses :D

the boulders were a bit moist in yosemite this weekend but it was still such a joy to be climbing beneath the fall colored leaves

One of the strangest interactions as a woman who climbs is when a guy (who has never climbed) asks you on a date, and insists on going to the gym. And once they get going they realize that it’s a totally different group of muscles, that they almost never use, and they get frustrated or embarrassed, when in reality, it’s not a big deal.
