Magic, powered mutations, cybernetic augments that give the individual superior strength, reflexes etc. They’re all about the same question.
Who gets to have it? And what happens to those that don’t?
I maintain that either it’s readily available for everybody, and not hinging on whether one can afford it or not. Or it’s available to nobody. There’s no nice, neat and tidy middle ground about this.
Artists should be allowed to create bad art sometimes. Not bad as in disrespectful or rude, just bad as in what people want to label as "unenjoyable" or "low-quality."
I love photography, and I am a firm believer that one photo that turns out hilariously bad doesnt mean I'm a waste of potential. It just means that my subject moved, or there was something on my lense, or maybe I started dropping my phone (yes I prefer to use my phone) mid-photo. I'd rather laugh it off and recognize that one picture doesnt define the whole shoot than wallow in sorrow over one imperfect image.
My artist friends should be allowed to not get super worried over one painting that didnt turn out exactly how they planned it out, or one drawing that they ended up smudging once or twice. They have every right to be upset about it, especially since these art forms take time and effort, but you should never have to worry about whether this means you've "lost your talent."
An amazing chef should be able to create a gross meal without thinking immediately after that they're a failure.
Your art is awesome. Even the ones that arent perfect, and even the ones that you or others may call "bad." I love your blurry photos of your dog who started running as soon as you started taking the picture. I love the spilled paint that you intended to splatter. I love the dishes you'd have to pay even your pet to eat. You should be allowed to have fun without being worried about whether or not one flawed artwork diminishes the value of all of the rest. It doesn't. You're awesome, and so talented.

These are my "lowest quality" pieces, but legitimately, I don't spend my time stressing myself out over them. I make a sketch, I either like it or I don't, and I move on. Sometimes I'll have a day when my hand can't do what I want it to, and the piece looks "bad", or just not up to my standard. I erase it and move forward. I legitimately like all three of the above pics; they're stupid, and silly, and edgy, and I love them. They make me so happy.
RPThreadTracker will be closing effective Feb 1 2021
On April 4, 2014, I released the first announcement of the very first version of RPThreadTracker. It was kind of a messy project at first - really, I originally set it up for my own personal writing use and didn’t expect it to go anywhere.
But people found it, and they used it, and they sent incredibly nice feedback and for six and a half years now I’ve been thrilled to help support all of you in the RP community on Tumblr and keep this tool useful and up to date. It has been an amazing learning experience for me in so many ways and I’m so glad I’ve been able to be a help to so many people as well.
Unfortunately, I have reached a point where I can no longer commit time to maintaining the site (as you may have all noticed, given the dearth of updates lately) and general usage has also dropped steadily in the last few years since the Tumblr porn ban, which is making it harder to justify the amount I’m spending on hosting and data storage every month. So I am sad to say I will be closing RPThreadTracker.com down permanently starting Feb 1 2021.
It’s my hope that this two-month leadup will give plenty of time for anyone still actively using the site to export their threads (there’s a tool for that on the site!) and get settled with a new system. I’m happy to assist anyone with this that needs help. On Feb 1, I will be shutting down the site and deleting all stored databases.
Also, as a note - the code for RPThreadTracker is 100% open-source; I would completely support anyone else who wanted to make use of it for a future tool. Feel free to get in touch with me if that’s something that interests you.
Thank you again to everyone who has supported the site over the years. You all are fantastic and I wish you all happy writing forever.

My mom thinks I'm spending too much time using my phone and reading, and not studying. How she expects me to study when my school is a joke and the world is crumbling, I don't know, but that is a whole other post.
She also found out that I use Tumblr, and she's furious. I'm literally not allowed to be on any social media platform, so she wants me to delete my Tumblr now.
Anyway, after many hours of lectures and yelling and tears, and explaining what exactly Tumblr is, she's decided that if this post gets
10,000 notes I get to keep my phone
20,000 notes I get to keep my phone AND my Tumblr
30,000 notes I get to keep my phone and Tumblr, and I also get as many books as I want
She's doing this cause she thinks Tumblr is useless and that I'll never get enough notes, so help please! I know this is near impossible.

I, I think? I remember this. But, it’s so vague.....like the memory, the husk of a dream, that just brushes the tips of my fingertips before it disappears back to the deepest, oldest parts of my memory.
3rd grade library. We were all sat down to watch this. Yes I remember it now. The lions.
It was the best show ever. It was on PBS and it taught kids phonetics. It's called "Between the Lions" and it's full of good wordplay and fun plotlines.
