“I’m not scared of a boom.” Jubilee snaps. “I’m sleep deprived. There’s a difference.”

“You ever try raising a dragon child in another reality? Your nerves are bound to start fraying eventually. I’m doing my best, okay?” And she loves her kid. That doesn’t change the fact that she’s fried.

There’s no use lying to Scott. “A little,” she admits. “But I know I’m not the only one. Everything’s really gone to shit, huh?” Jubilee’s been with Shogo in Otherworld and has missed most of what went down. What she knows is the little she’s been able to piece together.

“just being considerate,” hunter shrugged before quickly changing the subject, “agent lance hunter, at your service. now who do i have the pleasure of speaking with?”
“Jubilation Lee.” There’s a loud pop sound as she snaps her gum. “Jubilee preferred. Can I help you with something, Agent? I’m not a Krakoan spokesperson.”

Jubilee’s not usually so jumpy. If anything, she’s just sleep deprived. It comes from spending so much time in Otherworld with Shogo. Parenting is a full time job. Parenting a dragon is something else entirely. “Is that what we call fun now?” She chuckles with a shake of her head. “Jubilee v Gambit boom fest. That’s the last thing we all need. Maybe we throw Tabby in there as well.” Still, Jubilee smiles.

“Julian Keller.” Of course it’s Julian Keller. “I’m not that jumpy. You caught me at a bad second.”

“And you should step away from the Crystal of Kadavus before you shatter it.” Stephen pinched the bridge of his nose for a moment before wiping a hand down his face, trying and failing to physically wipe away some of his exhaustion. “Can I help you with something?”
Jubilee steadies it so it stops swaying. “Is that what it’s called? Neat.” She gives it one last look. “I’m here for Stephen, actually. I have a question about magic and magical creatures.”

Blinking, Jake struggled for a minute to take in his surroundings, the sudden thrust to consciousness leaving him feeling a little hazy. He used to come to when Marc was losing a fight, or nearly getting himself killed. Now that the wall was broken between the three of them, he was finding himself present for much more mundane situations. “Lo siento, didn’t mean to startle you.” He watched the remnants of fireworks that faded from the air before giving her a side-eye.
“I’m not normally jumpy.” Jubilee feels the need to explain herself. “I just -- you ever get tired? Really, really tired? That’s where I’m at.”
“You shouldn’t jump scare someone with explosive powers.”

God, she was annoying. Was her Emma that annoying? Probably. Jubilee and Frost didn’t often see each other anymore. Jubilee barely saw anyone due to the time she spent with Shogo in Otherworld. “I glanced at you, Emma. It may also start with g, but it’s not the same thing.”

warren let out a slow, deep breath, feathers bristling as he folded his arms in annoyance, “you know, staring isn’t the complement you think it is.”
Snapping her gum, Jubilee just shook her head. “You gotta lighten up, kid. Trust me, it’ll help you in the long run.”

“Watch it.” One yellow gloved finger was pointed at him. “I’m gonna sic my dragon child on you.”

“can i help you—? or were you expecting a show?”
“I’m not sure what kind of show you’re offering here, but I know I’m not interested.” What could some white, male human had that would interest her? No offense, of course. Jubilee was just the mom to a dragon who fought in Otherworld. She was getting hard to impress.
