It does fuck me up a little that in episode 147 of Hunter x Hunter not only do they change the ending back to Reason (a song about Gon and Killua's friendship from Gon's perspective), but they also edit the song differently than how they did for the GI arc, so that as we see Gon and Killua sadly turn away from each other and walk away, it starts slow and ever so sorrowful with these fucking lines

We always talk about how much Killua loves and cares for Gon , and it's always the " you're light " scene, or how much Killua wants to protect Gon, and that’s all so sweet and lovely, but can we talk more about how before all of this there was Gon who showed his love and care for Killua when nobody did ? It was Gon who was there for killua and that's why Killua opened up to him and that's why Gon deserves every fiber of Killua's love .. because when there was nobody, there was Gon ..being his light.

1. Gon breaking Illumi's arm and saying that he's going to bring him back.

2. Gon getting beaten up over and over by canary so they can meet killua and then injuring his own eye for the same reason.

3. He was ready to crash rezor at the hint of harming killua.

4. The first thing he wanted to do when he meets the person he respects the most was to introduce him to killua.

5. He always tries to hype Killua up when things gets stressful or wrong.

6. He wanted to apologise for hurting Killua.

7. Gon always praises and compliments Killua and gets worried if something happens to him.

8. Gon was just sad as much as Killua when they separated away.

Yes, Killua's Love might be highlighted better because of the way the story is written, as we hear his inner monologues alot, his main arc revolves around his feelings to others and how it effects his self-worth, he also got no goals, unlike Gon who's so focused on achieving his goals, Killua's only worry for the majority of the series was Gon. So , I understand why , really, but let's not forget that the love Killua is showing for Gon , is because Gon showed him love first, and that Gon's mistakes doesn't suddenly make him undeserving of that unconditional love , if he hurt killua once .. he was there for him hundred times more.
