Sooo, violent Wymack in his young?
You know Kayleigh, I get it.
In my perfect universe somehow Kevin runs into Shane and I can just imagine how it would go.
Kevin even though he’s so locked into exy he would still know Shane’s stats just cuz, I think him and Shane would definitely talk diets and workout routines together they are so similar in that aspect.
I can see them exchanging numbers and sending each other texts like
Kevin: I found this recipe that fits your diet I tried it and it’s good *insert random recipe*
Shane: Oh, I have tried that recipe before and it is good. 👍
I can also see them going to the gym together super early because why not (ignore how they aren’t in the same country) (edit: or state most of the time because of traveling for games)
Their contact names in their phones are smth like
“Kevin Day - Foxes” “Shane H - Hockey” just super like rigid but they are close regardless of that
Idk i just love them and i think they would get along they are so similar
Maybe Shane can convince Kevin to get sober.
Trigger Warning: SA/rape
Riko having Jean raped his freshman year was not just a punishment for Jean, it was a punishment for Kevin too.
Kevin, now says it's better if he stays straight after knowing he got caught looking back at Jean and how Riko punished them both.
Riko didn't want his toys to band together against him so he had to rip them apart.
Kevin throwing out Jeremy's name trying to distract Riko from their pining looks Jean didn't see Kevin return.
Kevin deciding to turn away from Jean and falling in bed with Thea to protect Jean from Kevin
Jean thinks Kevin sees nothing but the court because he never sees Kevin look for him again after their freshman year.
Kevin unable to forgive himself for his role in Jean's torture to ever play with him again sending Jean to the one piece of sunshine they both still believed in praying Jeremy could heal him.
Jeremy helps heal Jean's tender wounds
Jean finally able to be himself ends up choosing the sunshine boy when Jeremy needs him the most.
And Riko is still in Kevin's head telling him that he can never have the same.
Every day I wake up and think about Kevin and Riko's fucked up relationship.
When did Riko start being cruel? Was it ever good? When did Kevin stop being a person to Riko? Was he ever a person? When did Kevin realize what Riko was doing to him was bad? Did he ever fully realize that? Did they fight a lot as kids? Did Kevin blame himself for how Riko turned out? Did he ever stop hoping Riko would accept his love instead of venting out on him? What exactly did Riko do to Kevin?
There are too many questions, I can't
Anyways, thanks, Nora, your characters are haunting my life.
I think Riko was at minimum bullying Kevin before Nathaniel came to the Nest for his tryout. Neil hinted that he questioned Riko and Kevin about the numbers. It was young Rikos way of putting Kevin in his "place" since Kevin was Kayleigh's son and I think Riko was jealous of Kevin being the true son of Exy.
Then Nathaniel's tryout happened. Riko, Nathaniel, and Kevin watched The Butcher take apart a man. (In the EC the man was someone who tried to go after Riko) Neil was taken away, Kevin learned how quickly the Moriyamas would turn on him and Riko learned he could hurt Kevin (and eventually Jean) in worse ways and his uncle would take care of it for him.
I don't want a live action All for the Game I want a Graphic Audio of All for the Game without critical mistakes that the current audiobooks make.
I made a comment about this passage yesterday on a post and it has wormed itself into my brain.
The Golden Raven Chapter 8.
“I have no reason to fight,” Kevin said. “Everything I want and need still lies ahead of me; it is a waste of time to look back so long as that holds true.”
“Justice is not a waste of time.” (Jeremy Knox)
“I don’t care about justice. All I want in life is to play the perfect game.” (Kevin Day)
Is this how we get into the Queen's Game? Something is going to happen and Kevin is going to have to start to care about the justice he is owed. What's finally going to break him?
Neil got them out of Riko/Testuji's hold
Jean (and Jeremy) the catalyst for the deal being broken
Kevin ends the Moriyama rein and brings a new era of Exy that his mom wanted.
High school AU where Jeremy is in the closet and Jean is the coach's new mysterious foster kid.
Something about Kevin being a coward in Neil's POV and strong in Jean's just breaks me.
Laila Dermott/Catalina Alverez AU where they meet when adrenaline junkie Cat is rollerskating down Santa Monics Peir to work at her diner she owns with Jean runs into Laila the commerical real estate agent who wants their properity for a high paying client who wants to turn it into a gentrified low sugar gluten free smoothie shop.
hot people loveeee aftg btw. just in case u were wondering
“My Foxes chose to fight back.” I can come to terms with a lot of things, but not with the fact that Jean heard that sentence. not with the fact that Jean, who spent five years enduring horrific psychological and physical abuse, who only didn’t kill himself because he had given someone his word, heard that he had never really fought for his life at all. that all those years, he was simply accepting it. that somehow it was easier for him to stay in a place where his existence was valued so little that he could be left behind like forgotten trash in an old box for days. because he didn’t “fight back.” so what does that make him? guilty because he chose to endure instead of die? responsible for what was done to him because he chose to stay? does being trapped mean it's an excuse for abuse?
Kevin was at the nest longer he was Jean's blueprint for how to endure. Kevin who has to chug vodka before facing Riko gets hugs and motherly support from Abby. Jean gets told he wasn't strong enough.
Abby is probabaly my least favorite "fox" for this and how she treated Andrew and the rest of the Monsters throughout the OG series. She is the adult the others are young 20 somethings.

hey so what if Dan is pissed off after becoming captain because no on is respecting her and she’s on the court in the middle of the night just pelting exy balls against the court as hard as she can
and Wymack is leaning on the doors of the outer court just waiting for her to notice him. And he picks up a racquet and silently has her score on him until she’s too tired to move.
and they just sit in the middle of the court and she’s got angry tears on her face and she’s so embarrassed about crying in front of her coach and feels like everyone is right about her captaincy
and Wymack tells her “you know, you play like Kayleigh Day did.”
the making of a Queen
the tyranny of the King
Never realized how early Kevin clocks Neil's attraction to Andrew
The Raven King Chapter 4.
Moments I still get angry about:
Dan thinking she had any right to being mad at Kevin about Wymack being his dad and when Kevin told him.
Wymack having a poor reaction to Kevin being his son and when he told him.
Abby telling Jean My foxes "chose to fight back" when he was healing at her house.
Thea asking Jean if he was up to his old tricks again
Laila in the elevator with Jeremy before and after the Faser hook up.
happy childhood of little Monsters
