🪶 Torturing a phoenix cursed in ancient Egypt and forced to live through the centuries as a Human is my new full-time hobby.

I’ve loved the Discworld series since I was 9, and even at my age, I’m still trying to figure out life (spoiler alert: I haven’t).

I devour anything from sci-fi to crime, to fantasy and thrillers. Have also been known to partake in a wee bit of smut (okay, a lot)

I’m sarcastic, drink too much coffee, swear an insane amount, and I'm old enough to know better, but I really don't.

I’m here to share my self-publishing journey; it's only taken almost sixteen years of setbacks to gush about books and hobbies and to meet like-minded individuals who love losing themselves in other worlds.

What's your idea of a perfect Sunday??

When I'm not reading a good book, I'm attempting to write one!

The second draft is going really well. I'm falling in love all over again.

I am terrible at charging my kindle, got all comfy in bed and it was just not turning on.

However, a good excuse to begin Hooked by Emily McIntyre.

Kindles are convenient, but physical books will never let me down.

An author was giving away their copies of the Never After Series by Emily McIntire, and I commented on the post thinking nothing would come of it. Well bugger me, I won!

These books are stunning, and they even included some lovely bookish goodies with them too. It was such a nice surprise! A very much needed pick me up after the last few days.

I can’t wait to get stuck into the series. And once I’ve finished reading them, I’m planning to pay it forward and pass the set on to someone else in the community so they can enjoy them as well. 💛

After all, books are meant to be shared and loved.

Readers. Authors. Lend me your ears...eyeballs?

I NEED Advice on DNF a book. Yes, sacrilegious I know.

I'm doing a few ARC readings and I have a book which I really liked the idea of. However, as soon as I opened it on my kindle I was bombarded with nearly a dozen pages of a glossary and a list of who's who in a book I haven't even begun to read.

It's thrown me off majorly and I'm now struggling to get through the first chapter because the characters haven't been introduced well at all.

It's like the Author is acting under the assumption that we know all about this universe and what's going on.

I feel horrible DNF a book so quickly but my brain is gonna explode.

How do I explain this in a nice way that doesn't sound like I'm being an awful person?
