I’m fairly new to tumblr, because the fandoms I follow barely exist anywhere else :I and Meta is trash.

Subsequently, I am trying to figure it out and have no idea what I’m doing. This is a common theme of my life tho so here we are.

Citizen Sleeper Servo Default

I just started a new Sims 2 Legacy run and I thought why not combine two things I enjoy? So I present a Servo Default based on Citizen Sleeper.

This default comes with "formal wear" - yellow pants for Male Servos and a blue jacket for Female Servos. The everyday wear mesh is the same across both.

Both versions have witch, werewolf, and vampire eye variants:

Also included are uninitialized versions (there are two files in the subfolder, matte and shiny, please only pick one!)

I haven't made any custom content for the Sims 2 or opened Milkshape in like a decade, so apologies for any mistakes! Please let me know of any issues or questions.

OC idea for citizen sleeper - Benni - Nonbinary, aro-ace tired individual

Benni’s Scrap - “Your trash is our cash”

Launching a startup on Erlin’s Eye will eventually give Benni the experience to take their work to the Starward Belt, where they hire a team of scrappers, who manage to get shipwrecked on a salvage mission.

Before arriving on the Eye, Benni used to be a part of a team trying to help Sleepers escape their contracts. A mission gone wrong has made it so Benni can only do dispatch and machine operating.

just wanted to thank fandom, and in particular everybody who has ever let me a long heartfelt comment on my fic, because experiencing that as a creator of things has made me realize i myself am going through life as a coward. not only has your commenting materially changed me & encouraged me to write, but it has also made me change how i engage with all kinds of art because i cannot un-learn how powerful those kinds of comments can be.

i went to a show on the weekend and loved a band - big enough to tour nationally, small enough to be the opener at a $20 bar show. we chatted and i bought merch and it was perfectly lovely but i’d listened to their album since getting tickets and have come to love it in a much more specific and personal way than “awesome set, you guys were great”

in the past i would not have done anything with these feelings, and if i shared them with anyone it would have been my friends - certainly not the band. but instead i wrote them a long and earnest message the next day. embarrassing! horrible! but knowing what it has meant to me to receive such a message made me push through it and hit send even while wanting to pitch myself into a pit of personal mortification.

but what do you know, lo and behold, shocking no one except the cop and coward in my head, the lead singer replied thanking me, and talked more about their plans and music, in an even longer wall of text.

it’s things like this that keep me going as an artist, he said. thank you again, my heart is so full

anyways, so is mine, thinking of all the people who have told me exactly how something i shared made them feel, and made me confront how pointless and miserly it is to sit on my feelings and gratitude just because i am shy of showing them; what a sad dead end for the transformative touch of creation, when it could be reflected right back into the heart of the person who reached out into your guts in the first place.

here’s to those who keep it all going, and in doing so, spread it to the rest of us, rolling outward and outward, filling up hearts.

Day 24 Flotsam//Fueling Up

I always associate Flotsam with Jean-Mi, who I find both a comforting character in how he carries himself, but also a little unsettling. At one point you see a small doll-like face on his shelves, but he claimed to not have worked with sleepers. Essen-Arp traded some sleeper tech with him in exchange for research, so what’s the deal? My brain kind of fills in the blanks like this: Did he have a child who was sick? And was going to try and emulate them to keep them alive? What do you think?

Anyways. Just a lil sketch. Plugging along slowly but surely. Hope you are all doing okay.

as in you'll never achieve the perfect daily routine, sleep schedule, coping mechanisms, mannerisms, fashion sense etc. even after years and years of healing and improvement and self-discovery. you will never be so good at life that you manage to utilize every waking moment. its great to be productive and all but sometimes you'll suck ass. sometimes you'll take eight hours to be done with a twenty minute job. you'll prioritize the wrong thing. you'll sleep for 12 hrs just to avoid being awake. you'll relapse. and you'll relapse again. you'll forget to turn in the assignment. you'll order too little food. life is far too large and complex for you to even experience it completely, much less try to make sense of and control it. you can't. please give up on that and be at peace with the hours you lose. they are not separate from your life.

We are being absolutely flooded in AB. Marlaina (Danielle) Smith put the work order in for her “compassionate care centres” last year, which is no doubt her Canadian version of 🧊 detention centres, with the intention of stealing the most vulnerable off the streets and out of homes. Between her defunding public healthcare, education, and shelters, the attack on trans youth, the illegal mining operations, the scandals and the UCP changing law, disrespecting the treaties and stoking the separatist movement -deep inhale- she is following the playbook of the rotten orange. We are putting up a fight though, and we won’t let them get away with this nightmare. But this is how it is everywhere, and I consider us lucky we haven’t progressed to the stage that is happening elsewhere.

Don’t spread yourselves too thin, you need your minds and bodies for this absolute crapstorm of a world. Peace n love + punch fascists, and don’t look away.
