Way back in 2016 I posted a whole bunch of sketches where I replaced Beast with Prince Adam, for practice, and because it was fun to see his human form in those scenes.  So, obviously, I got the bug to do it again, but this time I also decided to tweak the design a little bit to try and push it just a little closer to Beast.  I’m pretty damn delighted with the results too, quite frankly: I really feel like I’ve cracked the code, at least for my personal wishes in terms of making him feel a little more familiar as Beast.  I don’t think child me would’ve tolerated those sideburns for a tiny instant, so it wouldn’t have helped then, but it does now.  And those wild brows.  Fucking fantastic you funky little beast man.

I also took the opportunity to exorcise an ancient demon and redraw this frame where Adam looks… like that.  I understand this was a wide shot and I really wasn’t meant to look this close, but I did and I have and I feel better about it now.  Sorry to the animator, it’s not your fault.
