a bit of a rant im sorry. but I can't believe valko antis are trying to guilt trip his supporters by accusing us of "not taking 731 seriously." u dumb hypocrite fuck it was YOUR ringleaders from the CN fandom who disrespected the suffering of so many people INCLUDING THEIR OWN ANCESTORS by using such horrifying events to CANCEL A VIDEO GAME CHARACTER.

without a shred of doubt the reason valko was immediately announced as "cancelled" by infold is because a bunch of toxic people (be it paid by a rival company or not, it doesn't matter, the damage is done) brought up the ISAIAH related world underneath where human experimentation is obviously shown NEGATIVELY, only now.

the fact that so many valko antis are bringing this up now and many even think it's related to him shows that a whole lot in this fandom lack reading comprehension or perhaps don't even know how to read. if you were invested in the lore instead of busy encouraging classist dick-measuring contests about which side spends more, you would've known better.

it's also the reason why majority of yall valko antis don't understand the myriad of consequences that come with scrapping a fully developed and perfected character and his lore. so you're telling us a literal male lead, the chairman of a tech company that deals with PROTOCORES has nothing to do with the story? can you not fathom how many senseless plotholes, how much unnecessary retconning of the other 5 love interests, the main story will end up with?

valko's team had been planning, designing, writing, acting, voicing him, etc etc for YEARS because it TAKES YEARS to do all that, especially for a game like love and deepspace which has such high quality graphics. and now you're trying to convince us they came up with him overnight and rushed him on a whim? you're only gaslighting yourself and it's just SAD ASF

i literally saw one meme. one MEME. of rafayel on pinterest and immediately began digging for more, here I am now. because that's how it's supposed to work. do you not remember the frenzy caused by sylus and caleb trailers? imagine if infold decided to scrap sylus entirely after posting his official teaser because of the leaks. or better yet if infold confirmed caleb wouldn't be returning from the explosion as a love interest like a week after posting his teaser in jan2025. IMAGINE😂🙏

Gonna put my two cents on the Valko matter as someone who's been a consistent player since 2024.

Ngl this whole issue could have been avoided if Infold/Papergames listened to their frontline development team about delaying his release, increasing pre-hype, and dealing with lacking Main Story (MS) updates for the other LIs. Even as someone who wants to #BringBackValko, I understand that we all suffer from a lot of concerns in this game that have not been addressed and it's already been MORE than a year. I'm very interested in the main story and the battle mechanics of the game and I've always been concerned with the lacking updates for these features, especially for the battle aspects of this game being the main way to farm diamonds for pulls. Along with other issues (e.g. lighting issues for players, lacking inclusivity in customization, greedy ass banner schedules that aren't announced beforehand btw), it makes sense why upon seeing Valko drop, people would be so angry-- not accounting for the general normal human response of hesitancy against any sort of change.

Even me, I was one of those players who didn't want a 6th LI. But, seeing the work the dev team put in Valko, the writing, the way he and MC bonded in the promotional trailer --- plus what his role could possibly serve in the overall MS narrative --- I was excited to give it a shot. Heck, I used to be an avid Sylus hater but it wasn't until I pushed myself to actually get to know the man and sit with his content that I came to love him so much. I was hoping for the same with Valko.

I guess, that's what irks me so much about the reaction of some CN players and the whole Valko cancellation. We literally have NO idea what his bond with MC is fully like. We don't know what happened in that "breaking and entering in MC's house" card. But these problematic players were quick to judge and assume shit, we don't even know ANYTHING about him.

Honestly, it is true that the discontent with Infold was amplified with the untimely Valko release. But dropping racist, homophobic comments and outward character assumptions about a character YOU DON'T KNOW JACK SHIT ABOUT? And worse, using those assumptions as basis for your clamor to remove him from the game??? Which btw resulted in massive job loss for the creative and development team behind a character that would contribute to the STORY WE ALL WANNA LEARN MORE ABOUT??? Now that is just ignorance and bias and utterly unjustifiable.

I have other shit to say but that's for another post probably. Anyways, seeing the stress the company is in rn, they better REALLY listen to their dev team and their players and actually SOLVE these issues. And for those judgmental, weird, and cruel mfs who judged Valko and said racist and homophobic shit about him, do not even think your main or any of the LIs would actually give a shit about you if they were real, esp with the way some of yall are.

Honestly, the saddest part about this entire situation is that Valko was never even given the chance to enter the game.

At the very least, I believe Infold should have released the update first, observed players' reactions to his story, and seen how his banners performed before deciding to discard what was likely months— if not years— of creativity, planning, resources, and hard work poured into creating an entirely new love interest.

I can't help but feel heartbroken for everyone involved in bringing him to life: the designers, writers, artists, animators, va, and every member of the team who contributed to his creation.

Valko felt intriguing, unique, and genuinely refreshing. Even from the limited content we received, it was clear that a great deal of care had gone into writing and designing him.

Right now, I'm genuinely upset and disappointed by this decision. If it ends up being permanent, I honestly don't know how I'll feel about continuing to invest my time in the game.

For those of us who were excited to meet him, the least we can do is be the voice of a misunderstood wolf who never got the chance to howl beneath the moon (╥ ω ╥)
