It was an accident. He hadn’t meant to find the angel in his backyard, panic, and then knock them out with a garden shovel.

Kano’s all smiles and hand waves when his siblings point their suspicious stares at him, but when they leave for the day, Kano slips out the back door and across the yard.

He kicks away a pile of dead leaves, and an angel rises from it, sputtering and coughing. Once-white wings are stained with dirt and blood.

“What the hell…” The angel mutters, shaking his head, and then their eyes meet. Kano’s never seen an angel so close before. He’s only seen them from above as they raid cities, on the news as they wage war on demon-kind.

“I could ask you the same question?” Kano bluffs his way past the knot in his throat. He spreads his own black wings to intimidate. “How did you end up unconscious in my backyard?”

The angel brushes the last few leaves from his pants. He’s kind of cute, in a gangly sort of way. “I have no idea!” He retorts, getting up, and Kano finds himself looking up at him. Great.

Kano forces a smirk. “I should kill you, you know. Or call the police-”

“No no don’tdothat.” The angel’s reply is quick, desperate. “Look, I’ll… do anything, I just want to get back home, I never wanted to do this anyway…!”

Well. Kano puts his hand to his chin, mocking. He doesn’t really have the energy to call the police now, anyway, since he doesn’t want to risk his own credibility and the lives of his siblings. (Kido’s mother was a half-demon, he recalls, and decides to leave it at that)

“Nah, I won’t do that. I’ll let you stay for a bit, but you promise to stay in the attic, okay?”

“I promise! I promise…” The angel looks a bit pathetic, actually, but it’s endearing, sort of. Kano motions to follow.

“Kano.”

“… Shintaro.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Shintaro.”

KidoMomo au, Kido is a ghost and has started admiring Momo from afar. On halloween, she tries to approach Momo and starts up a conversation. Momo compliments her "realistic looking costume" and offers Kido a handshake to be friends. Kido doesn't take it it at first because she's afraid she'll pass through, but seeing Momo's smile drop makes her try anyways. It doesn't work, but Momo laughs and gets it and says she doesn't care if Kido is a ghost, as long as she's willing to be her friend.

Kano hangs out with Seto and tries to get him out of his comfort zone.

ok but I'm rly emotional about setokano like. When Kano was a bby and everyone was a bby and Seto was like the biggest wuss EVER Kano was a heck of a lot closer to him than Kido ever was. yknow because she was all haughty and chuunibyou and all that. So Kano would do things and probably get Seto in trouble, like the time they climbed the roof and got robbed on by Kido, or the time they snuck away from the family at the zoo and Seto nearly got eaten by bears and it took a lot of coaxing to get him to come back to the zoo again. And when Seto found Mary's cottage, it was Kano teasing him and giving him the courage to go back there, even though Kano was super jealous that now Seto's time is taken by this albino kid. And when they grow up it's Seto getting Kano out of his comfort zone.

KidoMomo zombie apocalypse au, where Momo ends up surrounded by zombies while searching for Shintaro, and Kido comes to the rescue in a very flashy way (never forget her poses). Momo instantly clings to Kido, and they go back to the dan and eventually rescue Shin. Momo likes using an axe cause she can't shoot a gun to save her life, and when she hacks up her first zombie, she goes "Did you see that danchou?" and Kido's all "THAT'S MY GF" and they hug but everyone else is kinda unsettled by it.

//KidoMary// Imagine Marry and Kido being alone in the HQ and Marry "accidentally" trips over Kido. But then out of nowhere, Marry starts singing the "It's okay to be Gay" song meanwhile undressing a panicked Kido.

KidoMomo au, where Momo is a princess engaged to a foreign prince. Kido is the prince's trusted friend and bodyguard sent to escort Momo, and is run ragged by how often Momo jumps out of her carriage after anything that remotely catches her eye (usually food) while somehow always attracting a large crowd, no matter how good her disguise is. Momo and the prince don't really click, but Kido and Momo do, so the prince calls everything off and arranges a happy gay marriage for the both of them.

SetoShin, where Seto works at customer service and Shintaro is very frustrated because he believes this store scammed him into paying more than he needed to for a keyboard since it was supposedly on sale that day. Seto points out that the sale was the week before he bought it, and Shintaro becomes very embarrassed and starts apologizing. Seto smiles and says that it's okay, everyone makes mistakes, and that if it's okay with Shintaro, he'd like to have lunch together some time.
