What used to be the world

Before I knew your smile.

I only see myself

As human

Through the twinkle

In your pretty eyes.

It might as well be my demise.

But I can't let you go.

I need your trembling touch,

Your gasps into my ear.

I only fear

That one day I wake up

To the empty bed.

I can't pretend.

To forget

My selfish wish
