Game Announcement

My Hunted Darling has had many bumps in the road and it is a game we're still working on albeit much more slowly. Team members have come and gone and life events have transpired.

We wanted to thank our fans for being patient with us, as we continue our progress, by releasing a free game to play in the meantime!

Saving Alice is an Alice in Wonderland-esque eldritch mystery game in which you try to save your girlfriend from doom by solving the questions surrounding the school and the characters there. Depending on your path you can either choose to be the hero or villain of your fairytale story.

And for fans of the show of Wednesday (wink wink Wenclair) there's a chance to "meet" the characters and make shipper dreams come true.

The demo is dropping (July 6th 2026) on our itchio page. We intend to release the full version by October, and we do hope you'll enjoy it as a spooky little segway.

Maleficent:

She’d be worried, but also fascinated. When you disappeared, she truly felt your life force vanish. At first, she felt a deep rage, ready to explode in the worst way and condemn not only the nearest realm, but everything within her magic's reach, for who dared erase you from existence?!

But as time passed, and her darkest spells revealed that you weren't even in the world of the dead (she even went to the underworld to strike Hades and demand your soul back, and he only confirmed that you weren't there), she knew she could only wait to see if you would return in the same form you had left. She didn't expect you to return so changed, so empty, as if a part of your soul had remained trapped wherever you had been. She won’t use you as a guinea pig, and would try to help you recover, but the glint of curiosity never fades from her eyes.

Queen Grimhilde:

“Tell the royal gardeners to get rid of the labyrinth in the center of the castle”

She doesn’t say it, but she worries and she proves it by getting rid of as many triggers as she can. When you disappeared in front of her eyes, just a few meters from her, she thought you were gone for good, and that brought a dark era for the kingdom. She’d return to her cruelty, and would be actually worse than before, because a grieving heart is dangerous.

Now that you’re back, but not really you, or at least not the person she fell in love with, she’d be devastated. But for a woman like her, devastated is equal to determined. She’ll do anything in her power to bring back the person you were, even allowing Snow to comfort you since she’s better at that and you always felt good with the girl. She’d hold back her jealousy for the moment.

Mary Sanderson:

“Maybe this potion can help, if not, we’ll keep trying”

When you popped out of existence, unreachable even for the book’s strongest spells, the Sandersons immediately knew you weren’t dead. Death could be fought, it could be reverted, they had done it before. The fact they couldn’t reach you meant you were somewhere in between life and death, and that was something no one knew how to fix.

Once you’re back, and after putting all the protection spells they could think of to make sure you wouldn’t disappear again, the three sisters lose their heads trying to find any potion that could erase your trauma without affecting your memories of them and your relationship with Mary. They didn’t say it, but you were part of their coven now, and that meant protecting you like they protected each other. In the meanwhile, Mary will just stay with you at all times, since her magic presence eases the fear a little.

Claudine Frollo:

“You must not speak of hell, my child, you were granted another chance, cherish it”

She thought you were kidnapped at first. One moment you went to retrieve a book from her personal library, and the next, you were gone. Once she realized you were missing, she basically tore apart Paris, looking for you. She threatened, made promises of money and glory to anyone who could bring you back, but after weeks of no results, she assumed the worst.

When you finally popped back in her room, looking so shattered and scared, she thought sadness had finally made her lose her sanity. She’ll genuinely think you were taken to hell, which is probably true, and while she could have used it as another manipulation attempt at engraving your need for her, she can see you’re really scared, so she focuses on actually comforting you. But this really engraved her faith even more. You were the proof that hell existed, therefore, heaven must too.

Mother Gothel:

“Rapunzel…alright, yes, sing, see if you can ease her pain”

There was a time when she managed to convince herself that having you around was only a matter of convenience, that she only entertained your love because you were useful for her, whether to take care of Rapunzel or more intimate matters. But the illusion broke the moment you disappeared, leaving her with a brokenhearted teenager and a void in her chest that shouldn’t be there.

When you come back, traumatized beyond anything she’d ever seen, it'd be one of the few times she actually behaves like you’re all a family. There’s no place for her usual sarcasm and she moves with Rapunzel as one as they both try to comfort you. They were so scared and none wanted to lose you again.

Iracebeth of Crims:

“This isn’t the kind of madness you’re supposed to have, sweet rose”

Isn’t Wonderland a backroom too? Anyway. When you left to get something from another room and never came back, and after not finding you anywhere after hours, she thought you had left Wonderland the same way Alice sometimes did. But she wasn’t worried, you’d come back to her, you always did. 

When you actually came back, and looked at her the same way she had once looked at you, full of fear, and as if she was the only anchor you had left, she knew, she had been wrong, that you hadn’t left to the upperlands, but somewhere else, some place where your spirit had been crushed. That’s when she actually felt worried. She tried to comfort you, but she’s the Red Queen! She doesn’t know how to! So, instead, she seeked Time to ask if he could erase that part of your life. If not, because time has strict rules, then she goes to Mirana and asks for a potion to help you. It’d be a time where even Alice tries to help the queen by bringing any medicine they use in her world. Because this kind of madness was wrong.

Hades:

“Jump, babe, it’s gonna be alright…”

For a God to feel as distressed and desperate as he had felt when you were gone was a strange thing. For the rest of Olympus to lose their minds when no one could find you, was dangerous. It shouldn’t have happened, nothing and no one should be above the gods, you shouldn’t be taken to a dimension no divine being could reach you. Your disappearance had shaken the entire creation, gods were panicked, Zeus was confused, Hera was worried, Athena was on the verge of collapse trying to unravel this mystery.

But none of that mattered to Hades, not when you had come back the same way you left: suddenly, without logic. And you were broken. He could see the permanent fear in your eyes, and nothing no one did could help you. So, with all the pain in his withering heart, he knew it was time for the last resource. He took you to the lake where everyone forgets everything, the Lethe, with Pain and Panic trying not to cry. The underworld felt even sadder and gloomier than it has ever felt, because every soul, including his, knew what would happen. You'd forget who he was and your relationship with him. But Hades thought it was a good sacrifice, a small price for your peace. Besides, he already conquered you, he could do it again, right?

A lil thing I had brain worms over for weeks now! Unfortunately I have the sense of humor of a child so I won't lie I was giggling the entire time making this. Believe it or not, the initial sketch for Demona was a little more.... egregious, lets say. xD
