Cutest little organic cafe spot that makes one yummy vegan breakfast. Amara is a little kitchen that definitely has an organic vibe once you walk in. The walls and ceilings are decorated with dried wildflowers, which makes it feel as if you’re out in an open field rather than being in the busy city.
Amara creates meals using organic ingredients and locally grown produce! Their menu offers many paleo, dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan options! You can even make a meal vegan upon request (which is what I did).
I ordered “purple eggs” and asked for them to make it vegan. They just replaced the eggs with creamy avocado slices. The meal consists of tri-colored potato patties - white, yellow and purple (yes purple potatoes exist!) - mixed green and herbs, beets, pickled cabbage and seaweed all drizzled in a dairy-free pesto sauce. In seventeen years of my life, this is probably the greatest and most satisfying breakfast I have ever consumed at 8 o’clock on a Tuesday morning.
