Princesses have a tendency to stay as far away from walls as possible.

Biologists believe that they have gotten this trait out of a need to be seen to reproduce, it is at galas that princesses met mating partners and so, the princess must stay away from walls and at the center most of the room to attract attention and give her the greatest choice of mates.

This also lead to the opposite behavior, if a princess felt dishonored or flustered compared to another princess, she will get close to a wall, making her a prime target for other princesses to pin against

Now that galas are less common this trait is of no more use, but it still influences princess behavior, if you are taking care of a princess make sure she has all the space she needs to not feel close to wall.
