We are The Kaleidoscope System!

We're a traumagenic system who split their first alter way back in 2013, but we've gone through plenty of cycles of repressing and forgetting our alters and bringing them back. Now, though, it seems like we're here to stay. It's a miracle our host has stayed (mostly) the same the whole way.

Right now, we have 3 members, and a handful of fragments (who likely won't be using this blog). HEH there's 5 SIX of us now.

finally found a good way to explain how we experience monoconsiousness i think.! we use the term monoconsiousness to describe ourselves because we see the body as having one stream of consiousness, and we are here to watch it 90% of the time. like Inside Out! wow. plural coded.

The way we view our consciousness, The body holds the memories The mind has us to control the body

When someone fronts, it's to inhabit the body. That means when we inhabit the body, we obtain all memories the body has experienced. We KNOW everything, but not necessarily process things as facts until we process it.

Honestly it's kind of like Inside Out (visual rep, not headspace) ↑ Big screen television that anyone in frontspace can watch

as someone fronts, anyone can spectate and give input. (we've had 10 people in frontspace at once before during high stress)

conversations are more comprehensible the closer you are to front front | cofront | coconsiousness | in frontspace full words and concepts | --------------- | vague emotions conversations that occur further from front uses less brain resources, and so they are less coherent

It's always the sweetest thing ever that our boyfriend can tell which one of us is fronting just based on our voice. I don't even have to tell him who it is most of the time, he just gets it

isekai anime where the fantasy character from a game dies and gets reincarnated into the real world inside the body of a depressed teenager and at first they treat it like a regular isekai before one day they wake up and realize the original teenager is in control of the body again, they cant do anything, and the teenager can actually talk to them and turns out there are like 20 other fictional characters that got isekai'd into this one teenagers body. and it never explicity states what its about but youre picking up what im putting down right

I’m so curious. What’s a character you headcanon as a system who doesn’t have any “canonical evidence”? No mind palaces, no possession, no dark reflection, none of the tropes commonly seen in plural headcanons. A character who is a perfect example of “source: I made it the fuck up”

I’m going to try a new antidepressant after being on Zoloft since I was 14 (and coming to the conclusion it is not working anymore) (I’ve tried other antidepressants and had them not work, Zoloft has been the only thing that has kinda helped) so everyone wish me luck and if you’re a praying person, consider putting in a good word for me. I’ve been in an extreme depressive episode for months and it’s to the point where I’m less afraid of having a terrible reaction and possibly ending up in the psych ward than continuing on this way.

Whatever you do, do not try Prozac. That stuff completely killed all of my emotions, both good and bad, and basically made me an emotionless zombie for years. I didn't even know it was bad for me until I ran out of doses on a prescription and realized I felt BETTER afterwards.

Obviously YMMV. Everyone's brain processes drugs differently. But but that's my experience
