This reading is mainly about empowerment, strength, and growth. You are ready to act on those little nudges that give you courage and strength!
The new moon marks the start of a lunar cycle, a āclean slateā of sorts.
Intention-setting at this time aligns with our natural rhythms of beginning, rather than ending.
Rituals help you focus attention and energy on what you want rather than what you donāt want.
Birthday Reflection & Intention Ritual
From Roots to Rise!
Seeing Clearly, Slow but Steady
Releasing and Calling In Short Rituals
Ready to Release?
You ever get the feeling the universe just held up a giant cosmic mirror and whispered, "Handle your business?" Thatās today. I pulled a lineup straight outta ancient magic school: Af-Neteru, Imhotep, Kem-t, Shen Ur, Mafdet, Atum, and Ptah.
Thatās not a casual scroll of names. Thatās a metaphysical intervention.
Af-Neteru wants you to stop ignoring your intuition. Your dreams, gut feelings, and random chills down your spine? Theyāre not just āweird.ā Theyāre sacred pings from the hidden realm.
Imhotep drops in with a clipboard and sage advice: heal it, study it, structure it. Whatever "it" is for you, give it roots and reason.
Kem-t reminds you that your foundation matters. So drink your water, sweep your floors, and stop floating in spiritual lala land without grounding.
Shen Ur says circle up. Protect your energy. Make your ānoā holy. Create energetic fences and close the gates behind you.
Then Mafdet pounces in, claws out, and sheās not playing. Time to cut cords and drop the emotional clutter. Someone or something gots to go.
Atum arrives with the energy of closure. An old chapter is ending, and you can either resist or release with grace. (Hint: go with grace.)
Finally, Ptah hands you a chisel and says, āSpeak it. Create it.ā Thoughts become things, babe. Be mindful what you say aloud.
Spiritual/Symbolic Meaning of the First Quarter Moon in Capricorn
Spiritually: this is a moon that wants you to act on your intentions, face inevitable challenges, ground your dreams into reality, and refine your path.
Ritual for the September 21 New Moon in Virgo
Prepare your space Choose a quiet, comfortable spot. You might light a candle, burn some sage or palo santo (or any incense you like), and have a journal and a pen nearby.
Ground & Center Sit quietly for a few minutes. Take several slow, deep breaths. Imagine roots growing from your body into the earth. Feel your body supported.
Release & Let Go In your journal, write down things youāve been carrying that feel heavy: habits, beliefs, relationships, expectations that no longer serve you. Be honest. As you write, picture them leaving your bodyālike leaves falling from a tree.
Set Intentions Aligned with Truth Once you've let go of whatās no longer serving, write down a few intentions of what you do want to bring in. These should feel authentic: simpler routines, selfācompassion, boundaries, using your voice, creating space to rest, etc.
Symbolic Letting Go You might tear the paper on which you wrote what you release (or burn it safely, if you feel compelled) as a symbolic act of closure. Then keep the paper with your intentions somewhere safe or visible, a reminder of your new starts.
Closing & Gratitude Close the ritual by giving thanksāfor the insights, the past, the growth, and for the new paths opening. Blow out the candle, take a few more deep breaths, and feel your feet back on the earth.
Short Ritual: The Climb Within
Light a single white candle.
Write down one spiritual practice you've been avoiding or neglecting.
Fold the paper and place it under the candle.
As the candle burns, say, "Each step I take strengthens me. The mountain is my temple. I climb with humility."
Commit to this practice for the next seven days.
You will need:
A small piece of paper and pen
A fireproof bowl or dish (or a cup of water if you prefer water release)
A candle (black, blue, or whiteāwhichever you feel called to)
Steps:
Prepare Your Space Sit in a quiet place where you wonāt be disturbed. Light your candle. Take three deep breaths, imagining Kali Maa standing beside you, fierce but protective.
Write the Release On your paper, write down the habits, fears, relationships, or thoughts that no longer serve you. Be specific and honest.
Invocation Speak aloud: āKali Maa, with your sword of truth, cut the cords that bind me. Under the Third Quarter Moon, I release all that weakens me. What no longer serves shall fall away.ā
Release Through Element
Fire option: Carefully burn the paper in your fireproof bowl, watching the smoke rise as your burdens dissolve.
Water option: Submerge the paper into the cup of water, letting the ink blur and fade, symbolizing release.
Close in Gratitude Say: āI honor this release. I welcome endings as sacred. I make room for renewal. So it is.ā Blow out the candle.
Dispose
If burned, scatter the cooled ashes to the wind or bury them in the earth.
If water, pour it onto the soil outside.
Ritual for Clarity and Victory
Light a white candle for clarity and focus.
Write down one thought, option, or conflict that feels foggy right now.
Take a deep breath and cut the paper in half (or tear it), symbolizing the Queen of Swords cutting through illusion.
Say aloud: āI choose clarity. I choose victory. My truth lights the way.ā
Blow out the candle, feeling grounded and empowered.
Ritual: Anchoring into Loyal Bonds
Youāll need:
A small candle (white, silver, or blue works well)
A stone or crystal (any kind you feel is groundingāhematite, black tourmaline, or even a plain pebble)
A piece of paper and pen
Steps:
Set the Space: Light the candle and place the stone in front of it. Take a deep breath, feeling yourself present and grounded.
Call in Loyalty: Place your hand on your heart and say, āI honor the loyalty of my friends, allies, and spirit guides. I anchor into this steady support.ā
Anchor It: Write down one thing (or person) you feel grateful for because of their loyalty, support, or encouragement. Fold the paper and place it beneath the stone.
Moon Blessing: Hold your hands up as if receiving moonlight, even if indoors. Say, āMay my emotions, intuition, and spirit be recognized and guided in truth.ā
Close: Sit for a few breaths, visualizing a silver thread connecting your heart to the stone (Anchor) and rising upward to the glowing Moon. Blow out the candle when youāre ready.
Keep the paper and stone together on your altar or bedside for a few days as a reminder of the loyalty and emotional support that anchors you.
Save Yourself
Today, Kali Maa says stop sitting around waiting for someone to swoop down and Superman you out of your situation. Take the steps to save yourself. Chances are, you got yourself into it. Now use your untapped energy to get yourself out.
