Practicing Yoga with Children
Family Yoga Trying to practice at home with your little ones around? Escaping to the studio or locking yourself away in a private room to practice? Being bombarded with questions ‘can I come to yoga?’ ‘can we do yoga together?’ ‘what is yoga?’ Practicing yoga together with your children is a lovely way to incorporate them into your practice. They’ll love trying out yoga moves and spending quality time with you at the same time. Children are often super flexible at a young age, starting yoga early helps them maintain that flexibility, as children get older and start playing different sports or get involved in activities or games that use their muscles, they can experience tightness as well as aches and pains, yoga teaches them how to stretch safely and can help to avoid injury. Yoga builds strength and self-awareness, it also helps them to chill out, breath deeply and unwind or go off to a restful sleep. We’ve created three mini sequences for you to practice together safely and so you can have fun trying out different yoga poses together.
